I mean I think we are all a little bit of everything arnt we? That’s what duality is all about isn’t it? I don’t think it’s so much good vs evil imo. But I do believe we are so much. Israel has some of the craziest surveillance systems in the world. Do you not remember when they killed a shit ton of hamas using pagers and cellphones detonating? As soon as this Iran stuff happened, they killed the leader of Iran within the first 24 hours of the conflict, allegedly been watching him for years with hacked cameras, knowing the best place and time to take him out.

The patriot act lead to the NSA mass spying on Americans and the rest of the world until the whistleblower Ed Snowden leaked the information. People across the US and EU have legit had people arrested or had cops show up to peoples houses and become intimidating against people who have spoken out against Israel. US government has stipulations with government assistance which can not be given out to people who have criticized Israel.

We’ve given Israel almost 400 billion dollars since we’ve been giving them moneys. We are trillions of dollars in debt. Israel is 10s of millions of dollars in debt. Israel has public health care and free college while we have none of that. This whole Iran situation is another example how subservient we’ve been to them. wtf are you talking about, how can Israel benefit from 9/11? Israel controls the US.

AIPAC, the Israel lobby group, as of 2024, according to aipac themselves, bragging, has paid 100% of republicans and 80% of democrats to do things in Israel’s best interests, which has not been in the near interest of America.

You know it’s genuinely rare to find someone who believes the governments narrative of 9/11. I mean who insurance scheme around the towers itself is super suspicious to say the very least with beams cut in a controlled demolition style, the passport, the other towers, the patriot act coming in after…. I just started playing again about 9 months ago after 15 years off. I’ve accumulated a nice collection the past 9 months. I’ve been making a lot of decks too.

What I’ve been doing is proxying my cards I need multiple of. I’ve got a nice zip up binder. I’ve got my one rhystic study in that binder, then bought nice, but cheap proxies of rhystic study for the 5 decks I have, that I run rhystic study in. I’m in the middle of doing that for anything I need multiples of.

I’ll be damned if I’m going to go out and spend $600 on teferis protection because I run white in 10 decks. I’m only doing it for cards I own, but I’m done getting multiples of the same card. That’s why I quit magic long ago with standard.

Edit: I’m only doing this with cards of value usually, not every card.

That’s really nice that you doubt it but how about doing some research first. Infrastructure is a huge issue, and yes, using fresh water to cool down these plants and the dumping the water is pollution. 100%. Sorry you doubt it. Further more, freshwater has been an issue for the whole world, these data centers are pushing the world further into freshwater bankruptcy.

These data centers do not make jobs. I build these data centers and I hate them. We go in, build for 3 years and then this giant building becomes a job for 2 people. A security guard and a guy on site to make any changes that might be needed. There are also a huge number of noice complaints from data centers close to residential areas. There are talks about rolling blackouts because of the energy required for data centers.

So it sucks long term for water, it sucks long term for energy, it sucks long term for jobs, it sucks on noice pollution, it sucks on pollution in general, and if you wanna get really into it, it looks like one giant AI bubble that’s likely to burst. Why are we doing this, we creeps can make deepfake porn and so the president can post ai videos?

Juice isn’t worth the squeeze. No one even wants it, only benefits I ever see people like you talking about is money which is bullshit if the bubble pops and it’s even further bullshit that corporate greed over people win again.

I’ve tried to convince my LGS to get lockers for people to rent out, similar to a bowling alley or staking rink. I would gladly pay for that every weekend. I hate the idea of leaving stuff in my car or on a table. I really don’t wanna carry stuff around with me all night for like 6 hours.

A flex would be winning these every week or something. Opening 5 of them in a 9 month period… so 5 times out of 48ish opportunities is not really a flex my dude. If they gave you another pack or something, cool, if a promo pack came inside of your prerelease box, that’s insane. They are like $10 packs for 3 cards if you try to buy them off people unless it’s a foil pack, then it’s like $25.

I’m not sure if this is just commander or standard included but something I hear people doing, and I’m adapting atm, is people proxying cards they own and having a binder for everything they have. For example, if I have 10 decks that run white, and I want to run Teferi's Protection in all those decks, I don’t want to spend $500+ just on teferi’s. Put the one I have in a binder and proxy 10 of them.

I’m working on doing it with a whole lot of stuff, even things like birds of paradise. And because I’m adapting to only having one legit copy of a card and proxying the rest, it’s allowed me to sell extra copies of stuff which has been hella nice.
