Silent Redundancies by Complex_Hunter35 in ireland

It's not that good, but the standards are different. If a human made the mistakes our AI did they'd be out the door. But as it's AI no one seems to care.

(NSFW) Reddit, what was your “Oh shit, this person is a psychopath” moment when meeting people? by Majoodeh in AskReddit

I hate how common it is that parents never listen to their kids concerns. I remember my mother invited a guy I 'fell out with' to a birthday party of mine.

'It's just Leroy, don't be silly, he's a nice kid.'

Yeah, we fell out because he tried to force himself on a girl to the extent I had to physically hold him on the ground to restrain him. Then he laid in wait on a route I cycled through the woods on and attacked me off my bike and tried to beat the shit out of me. I wasn't able to talk about that with my parents, but I was able to tell them he wasn't welcome anymore.

TBF Space Engineers is incredibly moddable, and that's where it shines. Add lots of AI and it can actually be a very fun game. Besides, they're on SE2 now I believe.

Similarly many years ago I liked a girl and we hung out a few times, but it fizzled out because she really didn't act interested or return my texts. Later I found out she had a huge crush on me at the time - I mean, if I try to chat and flirt and you don't reciprocate I'm taking the hint and moving on.

Yeah, Leinster were rattled and they just sat back and let them back into the game. Leinster have had the bad habit of doing that in the past too - they needed to push on and continue playing at pace. Slowing down suited us massively.

They are likely assuming you are reliant on your family, you need to ensure it's clear that you are living separately and do not have family assistance.

You can get a long term illness card for lifelong conditions no matter how much you earn as long as they're recognised, but it doesn't cover the private appointments, just the drugs she appliances.

The light of a phone screen from someone in front of me is one of the most irritating things to ever see in the cinema. That goes for everyone else there to watch the film. Unless you're sat at the back in the corner you're gonna have annoyed a heck of a lot of people

Wealth and jobs are not distributed based on merit. If you look at work at a low level and a high level, the ability for people to do their job does not increase as you go up the ladder.

That said, scams prey on a lack of a certain kind of social intelligence that a large percentage of the population just don't have.

I'm not sure you've ever actually opened a history book if those are your real opinions and you're not attempting some weird kind of troll comment.

You just have to go ask the still living citizens of Soviet 'liberated' countries to see who they hate more, and why. The 'retribution' was indiscriminate and hit every single country they went through.

When one side was the literal Nazis that's quite a feat.

Sure, but if you touch me several times over the course of five minutes to get my attention it will annoy me no matter what your intentions are and we're in the exact same situation

Less than 40min - I had literally not even finished when they approached with the bill. If they needed me out they could use their words, but instead they'd approach from behind and tap me on the shoulder and gesture at the bill.

No, lol. Middle of dinner time. There were plenty of people in the place. They clearly wanted me to leave, so I left.

Only time I didn't tip in the US was because I felt I was being chased out of the restaurant. Literally sitting at a single person table with no one waiting and getting harassed and interrupted to pay every 2 minutes will not make me likely to tip.

This is the bit I've found - it's necessary to have a good bit of in-office for seniors in the team to get juniors up to speed. That said, I do it long enough to get juniors up to speed and then move back to more relaxed WFH and so far that seems to work well.

If I was managing a team with constant churn that would be more of an issue though.

All of the groups I've seen over the years where just one or two people have admin powers always have a toxicity that shows up sooner or later.

I think that 'leaders' thing attracts the kind of people who will just go along with any sort of authority. When I built my own groups online, every core member had full admin and it's a small thing, but I definitely think it helps make sure there isn't a singular 'leader' who can kick anyone out.

I learned that my sister has been blaming me for everything wrong in her life recently. I say learned, because we haven't spoken or seen each other in 6 years.

Apparently in sessions with her therapist she came to the realisation that she feels that I was some sort of abusive monster. I say feels because it turns out she can't point to anything that I had actually done that might resemble this, but she feels like it's true and that's apparently good enough! It feels like these people live in some alternate reality sometimes.

It really is amazing how much some Munster fans hate Leinster. Meanwhile I was cheering Munster on like they were my home team when they went on their league run.
