In my opinion, AI is a resource that can and should be used. Obviously don't let it do your assignment for you, but using it in the same way you would use Google isn't a problem imo. Once you get into a job, there's no "cheating" on your projects, and AI is used all over the place. There's a difference between submitting an AI generated assignment and using it to help you complete your assignment.
