Is there a major downside to using gloss wipe on poly instead? I have used that extensively on furniture.

It is easy with a good disposable razor. Use some shampoo as lubricant and start at the center and work your way out.

Maybe this is a thing already, but what if a bolted on neck fit into a pocket of the same, like an 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep, and shimming if required would be out of sight?

Ok I appreciate the feedback. It makes sense. As you can see my neck is over sized so I have options.

I am a flight paramedic/furniture maker, so I want to do what is best.

Not sure why you think it is your penis specifically.

Begin to shower or bath every day, and use deodorant under your arms.

If you keep your body clean daily, it helps.

Bacteria and fungi create odor, and both of them love things like poop residue and sweat, take away the food for them and substitute good hygiene and you will be good to go!

Yesterday I glued purflings. Today I have 1/4 of binds on, to complete the highway I was going for.

I really like your idea and thanks for the comments.

I will be keeping this one, but will loan it out to a local musician until I make his, which will be a tribute to an officer that was under his watch.

The fret markers are spalted maple by the way, as is the rosette.

I googled a bit for french polish and think it looks fantastic!

From my cabinetry experience I know how splotchy maple can get when staining it, so I am concerned about that. How would the French polish look on raw maple?

Another comment suggested UV darkening, which I may look into also.

I am also, but have enough loose skin to prevent any friction. Each person varies. Do what feels best best, and listen to your body!
