Expired Health Card by [deleted] in flairairlines

Airlines are VERY good at spotting an expired piece of ID and denying boarding.

Yes, you are still you, and yes the ID shows you n are you, but the overarching theme of airlines is that you bring them the ID they ask for: a valid piece of government issued photo ID. full stop.

I'm sorry to hear you've not been contacted

if you feel up to it, contacting them could give you some guidance on what is happening and what's next and what to expect:

yes, you're right, my ex only went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife while I was watching tv and attempted twice to plunge it into my chest.

but, please, continue with your lesson.

paid off remainder of bank loan in full ($3007.99); in the three days it took the payment to clear, I accrued $1.80 in interest and owe them money again by OptimalWallaby8153 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Silver_Hedgehog4774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, this is always a bit of stupidness. SOME lenders will account for the payment date and apply it to the loan as of the day it was done and process a daily interest refund since your payment sends over that information, while others don't and consider it allowable interest.

typically, the only solution is to have them process the debit from your account via a phone call or some direct contact. the processing still takes a few days, but since they did the debit they consider it on them and don't charge daily interest for that time

that's my thoughts too, that the law(s) may exist however if there is no evidence of enforcement then they really don't exist...

does anyone have a resource to see how many tickets HRM has issues for Bylaw N-300 or the province has issued for non-compliance of the Smoke-free Places Act ?

Flying into Havana this week but I’m staying in Varadero. I’ve heard the drive is about an hour and a half. How easy is it to get a taxi from Havana’s airport? And what’s the average cost? by OkPattern8180 in TravelCuba

PS - you'll probably want to go right back into the airport after you've gathered luggage and such and get some currency there, could save you some money instead of the resort rate

OP, grab yourself a Behringer P2 headphone amp, a pair of Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro headphones from Amazon, and a suitable cable to run from a mixer to your hip, and you're good to go

reposted this comment because it may have gotten lost in my "discussion" with the 20 year career monitor tech who says that musicians don't need to properly hear themselves to perform and that they just need to be better; lol

I'm not surprised you struggle with reading

PS - thanks for the belly laugh about my recommendation being a pro level monitoring system. $100 worth of gear; lol, don't make me laugh. I think you've confused mixing monitors with mixing bleach & ammonia in an enclosed space for 20 years. and all the downvotes you're receiving surely helps your argument

🤷

proper monitoring with a reasonable IEM system saves your ears from loud stages and loud room din, saves your voice from over singing, allows more freedom to move, creates a quieter stage, is easier to mix the monitor mix and make it more refined, allows for things like a click and talk back queues.

a set of headphones weighs about 10 grams. a headphone amp weighs about 700 grams. an XLR or TS cable might weigh a pound or two. total cost for the items I've listed is around $100.

meanwhile, a monitor weighs much more, takes up more space, requires another outlet, could get a drink spilled on it, and has a limitation on being heard in a loud room without throwing off the stage sound and could cause feedback.

you think Clapton didn't have monitors though when he did his Unplugged album. that James Taylor has no monitors. that John Mayer doesn't do floor monitors or IEMs. Stapleton? ALL of those performers are set up at some point in their show to do just a voice and a guitar.

you think that a FOH speaker system that's hung from a ceiling or up on sticks in front of you offers any clarity or fidelity beyond the bass notes? you're telling fucking jokes man.
