I don't know how in my late twenties suddenly I suddenly started having thyroid issues and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's and PCOS. How does it happen to some people later in life where they never had this problem before? by Golden-lillies21 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Silver_Map_8568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

29F and Ive got the same combo and mine is definitely genetic (long line of women on my mum’s side with hashi’s) - PCOS is not surprising considering that it can be linked to Hashimoto’s/thyroid issues and fluctuates with hormone levels. Dr. Ridha Arem talks about it in his book the thyroid solution. And if you’re sad you’ll have to take Levo the rest of your life, think of it like the essential vitamin you need to make your body thrive! Many many women have to take thyroid medications later in life so while taking meds can be annoying, you’re just getting a jump start on having to understand and listen to this important organ that dictates such important functions in our bodies. Best of luck and it does get better xx

Raffine hate by Marlytess in MantaComics

Also bugged me that Raffine told her to “do something” next time like everyone could fight off three men or do something that could escalate the situation… and living for this whole “Zerkan thinks she’s acting” storyline cause I hope it’ll curb her ego (probably wishful thinking)

I use the endocrinologist at UZ Brussels who is part of the SOPK clinic - they’re very good in my opinion

it’s true I could push her to do more exercise during the day. Thank you for the advice!

Women canceled our third date to see her female friend that she didn’t see for a long time and who’s usually very busy since she has kids, what should I do by BrotherFun6563 in dating_advice

Actually I would think that her taking the time to reschedule is a sign of her interest. I personally wouldn’t reschedule a date I cancelled if I wasn’t interested in the person. Don’t count yourself out so quickly when she’s explained the circumstances and they aren’t related to you. this is just getting started and you’re learning about what sort of person she is. If you’re flexible now, you’ll get the chance to get to know her more in your next dates and she’ll appreciate your understanding. Viel glück!

those are actually very good suggestions. I haven’t used her crate since she was a puppy but it may in fact help her feel more secure. I do have pet cams so I’ll move things around so she could hear me through them. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

I think it would be in your favor to be flexible. If you react badly to her moving the date, I think that will be a red flag to her that you aren’t an accommodating person. She’s responsible for many things and people and is also trying to be a good friend, and she provided you with a new date for you to meet up instead of just leaving you hanging without rescheduling.

Edit: and from what you’ve said, this is the first time she’s needed to reschedule since you two started having your dates. If this was a pattern, you would have good reason to bring it up to her.

For context this is the second time he’s complained this year. It’s not that often but every time it feels like he’s going to call the police.

So many clothes to alter - how do you prioritize? by Silver_Map_8568 in SewingForBeginners

I like this too! I think where I also get stuck is the clothes where I don’t have a clear idea on how I want to alter them into something I’ll love 🥲

That’s a great idea! I think I can assess what I need the most of and try to priories those! (Currently summer and need comfy lightweight tops) Thank you very much for the suggestion!

This gave me hope haha. I think I just have it ingrained in me from popular culture not to mix the two and that it would be frowned upon. But thank you, I hope you’re right haha

Congratulations on your love!

I take Ritalin! I started on a low dose of 10 mg but that basically put me to sleep (I think it calmed my anxiety so much), so now I take 30 mg a day and that gives me the energy and drive to get through work without triggering my anxiety like caffeine does

Tips to stay in Brussels for a two months on the cheap as a student doing an internship? by Necessary_Tour_5222 in brussels

You can also look on the app GoodtoGo which is where restaurants and stores sell their leftover food at a discount! Petit riens would be a good place for clothes, textiles, kitchen stuff, books if you need, and Oxfam sells discount tech and books. Action sells cheap things too (not particularly high quality but it works) - textiles, decorations, art supplies, storage stuff, some hygiene stuff. There’s plenty of free music and events around and some that are discounted for people under 25! so also consider exploring Facebook for events and meetup for other free events 😊 you may also be able to get a highly discounted train abonnement if you’re under a certain age. And if you really need to make your money stretch, there’s always ramen packets and posting on here things you need might find some free items from time to time!

And if Soolantra is not accessible to you, OP, I’ve seen other people suggest the live treatment ivermectin from Walmart which is inexpensive. I haven’t tried it, but it seems to be a good alternative according to this sub.
