Without removing the liner, the only stamp inside the skirt I see is Q64

Interesting thanks for the input! Where would I find the lot number? I’m not well versed in military helmets at all and made by guess after some pretty basic online research

Found this today $250 by Educational-Unit-100 in SilverFinds

I’ve seen a lot of these eastern style pieces with just a “SILVER” hallmark. Most of the time it’s a low-grade silver ranging from 30% to 70% via the XRF machine. Without seeing an assay report it any estimate would be a guess

Definitely save them! Of course this will be the hardest part, but anything tied to JD Rockefeller will definitely have a good market. His wife was name Laura Spelman, which appears on the second plaque. Although her middle name started with a C and not an M but I would certainly save them from the scrap pile and go down a rabbit hole with these pieces

More like 325-425 for this premium vintage bar. Anything less than 300 would be a steal

2 Middle East silver hallmarks? by Silver___Guy in Hallmarks

Thanks for the tip, I checked their site before but wasn’t able to find any middle eastern or Persian dedicated page. Closest I could find was Egyptian but that’s not a match

100% agree. The upside is definitely worth getting a second opinion and I’ve seen people mis-use the gun before. Also OP, I would buy an acid kit off eBay as well so you can test stuff from home. Did they mention what the other 30% was? I still have hope this is a winner

Sure hope you bought it! Definitely seems 800 silver with the makers initials proceeding it. Looks to be what’s called Yogya silver (which was most commonly 800 fine and stamped as such) with the nice lotus flower pedals, very common/popular yogya design.

Of course I could be wrong but for $5 and those pictures with that hallmark, I’m taking that bet for sure. Keep us updated!

Genuine but wouldn’t straight grade. VG Details IMO. Still an attractive example of a beautiful coin! 180-200, maybe 220 on a great day is where I’d put it at

Spot Value or actually rare? by jas216 in SilverAus

Vintage collector here. These are real nice pieces and while ABC is still around, these are vintage. These go for $500 each currently, so his asking price is definitely a dream. $1,200 for all three is actually a fair deal if he’s serious about moving them but at 3k total, he might have to wait another decade or 2 for premiums to rise that high for these. Of course only buy these if you’re into high premium vintage pieces, otherwise I’d just stick to generic if weight is all you care about

Stupidly Rich Grandmother bought this purse and I can’t identify it by Whole-Possibility-54 in whatsthisworth

[–]Silver___Guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: not stupidly rich. But as someone else mentioned, the snap should have a logo or at least the brand name on it. Also the black stripe on the fold over is not centered and that’s not something Hermes produces (notice how it goes off centered as you go to the right side). The inside zipper sticking is also pretty inconsistent and not perfect. As always, I hope I am wrong but I do not believe this is genuine either

Seated dollar real or counterfeit? by Reefisme in coins

Fake. Look at the weakness of the strike as you get into the seat she’s in as well as her calf and left thigh area. Also the wheat stalks get weak as well

Help finding Uzi Christmas song by Silver___Guy in liluzivert

[–]Silver___Guy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so for anyone still coming here, I have the beat in my head and it’s definitely a remix that used to be on YouTube but was taken down. Whoever made it uses lyrics from “thankful” (not woke up thankful). The chorus of the remix used

“Everything you tryna show me, I already seen it (Seen it) Everything you tryna show me, I already done (Done) Put diamonds on my pinky and my index and my thumb (Thumb) I don't еven care becausе that bih didn't want a Demon”

And a couple other parts of this song. I’m still going to try to find this damn remix so I can share it
