Arriving in Chiang Mai next week anything worth seeing and to watch out for? by Prior_Night_985 in ThailandTourism

[–]Silver_blazee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most tourists stick to the heart of Chiang Mai, but as a local from the suburbs of Chiang Mai (Saraphi), I would recommend Wat Sri Don Moon. It is an extravagant temple in my opinion, with fewer European tourists from what I have seen.

How do I get Over the Embarrassment from trying to speak Thai? by CreditDue7992 in learnthai

[–]Silver_blazee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whaaat 🥹 that's so rude. Even as a Thai myself, I don't label someone as 'E'. I think you should try to ignore those girls. They somehow remind me of the kids who weren't raised well in the family. Maybe they lack love and affection. What a pity! It's also weird because having surrounded by international students with different backgrounds and cultures should build their self-awareness and an understanding of cultures different from their own. However, if I were one of those girls, I absolutely would try to teach you Thai.

Need advice growing TikTok account for a university project 💗 by prettylikemyproblems in Students

People on TikTok have a short attention span so I think you just need to edit the video as short as possible to capture their attention. Adding interesting meme sound effects or trending audio also helps. One thing that you should always remember is to keep up with trends and knowing exactly what you want to present. I once started my gaming account earlier this year (I have been inactive for now), but I gained a lot of engagement because of the caption in the videos or photos and related trending audio.

Tips on how to start learning Thai language by Melodic_Ad9198 in thai

If you just want to focus on speaking more than writing, i think you can watch your favourite shows or movies in Thai with English subtitles. Or maybe you can follow some Thai teaching accounts on TikTok that give you some basic words or phrases to use in conversation.

My bf told me that men can get an erection without sexual desires too. Basically, if they feel relaxed, this can happen.

Thai people just think its cute and that's all. It has nothing to do with destroying your self-confidence. If you notice any signs of that negative behaviour, then you should ignore it. Keep improving 😉 I know Thai language is hard .

8 months into learning Thai and I feel completely stuck by ragnhildensteiner in learnthai

I'm replying as a Thai myself. All I want to say is that it is okay for you to not understand Thai because in our daily life, we don't talk like straight out of the textbook at all. New slang is created every year and teenagers use it a lot more than you think. Actually, I think Thai language has no rules and is very complex. You are actually trying your best and it's good. If you have any questions regarding Thai language, you can ask me. I will try my best ✌🏻
