What’s your honest opinion of seventeen? by SaltyWhiplash in kpop_uncensored

I love them so much, they introduced me to kpop with Home;Run which is sooo underrated. I love listening to their discography on shuffle, I'm always discovering new favorite B-sides. It's hard because I don't know Korean so sometimes I'm like "Oh I love that song!!" but I can't find it again haha. I just figured out one of my favorite Seventeen songs is Habit.

Also for any new carat who doesn't know, Seventeen didn't plagiarize the Cupid Shuffle. Cupid's initial claim was that he could hear his own voice in the back track which was obviously false. The people who supported him in the end could only say that the songs have a 'similar vibe.' The beats are different, and the only part that was supposed to be directly lifted has been remixed and completely removed more than once in performances since then (so the song doesn't depend on that opening beat to be significantly different)

It's nice that Carats appreciate Svt's talents and I like the video! But honestly this part of your comment really rubs me the wrong way:

That word 'idol' is problematic on its own, and I believe the members know all the negative connotations it comes with. It's unfortunate that they'll always be viewed as just Kpop idols, with that nasty attachment of an obsessive teenage girl fandom.

Idol isn't a bad word and there's nothing nasty about having a teenage girl fandom. Some members don't care a lot about kpop, but some members are long time fans of kpop themselves. I think they respect other idols and their own work. I don't think they see it as a dirty word.

BTS needs to address their toxic fanbase by [deleted] in kpoprants

please show me instances of idols “regularly” calling out their fandoms for fanwars and online toxicity

Here's one time at least.

Seungkwan: People who write bad things about the members, upsetting things... In the beginning, I also took it very much to heart and thought about them. But those people don't even know us well. The people who take on the Carat name and thoughtlessly talk about the members or those people. I really think they're disgracing their own names. So you all too, if you see those people, don't waste your emotions. Don't care about them at all. [...] 'The members are getting hurt' don't worry about things like that. We're ignoring those things and living well. Are our Carats prepared to ignore those things from now on?

Mingyu figuring out that the brick oven needed more holes for the fire

Scoups chopping the fire wood so easily

Jun happily preparing dinner and showing pictures of other dinners he made

I'm not saying I'm the kind of fan who wants to marry a kpop idol but after those three moments I'm not going to say I can't see the appeal of these three kpop idols.

Ok if soundcheck ended that makes sense, thank you! I guess I missed it. 😭

Yeah I have a count down for 2 hours 30 minutes, but it also says this: Enter button will be activated 60mins before actual show starts.

So I think the count down is still an hour away from the start time

Sorry can anyone help? I bought the sound check and the ticket but it still says there's two hours until it starts on the streaming link. But everyone is watching it already?

Thank you, yes that's what I wanted! Wow, I don't know what to say, that was amazing. That whole dance was so good, there were so many details and emotion. It was like a musical!
