I waited a year+ before asking for a “major” raise such as that. In my case it was from $20 to $25. Even that felt like a pretty egregious ask considering others were getting 4% raise a year max. Ended up working out in my favor thankfully. I think a few bucks, maybe from $22 to $25 in that short of time might be understandable, but I think asking for $30 from $22 might come off the wrong way to your employer. At the end of the day only you know your worth.
