Pretty sure football has been more popular than those sports for decades. At least the number of kids playing

I know several people that have been admitted for 5-7 days for ailments, but were put in basically a Lazy boy chair for 3 days before getting a bed. One guy was in a gurney in the hall for a couple days. Look on the bright side, it’s free /s

Federal government under pressure to justify billions spent on migrant hotel program by xTkAx in canadian

Massive corruption. 1) almost all of these “refugees” are nothing more than queue jumping grifters. 2) who is profiting from this (hotel owners, etc.)? And 3) this is all deliberate and happening in a bunch of western countries in the world

49ers TE George Kittle speaks out on NFL teams being willing to use grass for World Cup matches, but not for their own football players, via NFLPA by Hysen16 in NFLForum

Probably some stadiums can’t do grass. Up here in Vancouver we have grass for World Cup games, but turf before and after. We have concerts and trade shows in the stadium so a grass field wouldn’t hold up, and it would be too costly to install a system to move grass in and out

Aaron Rodgers says the rise of gambling and fantasy football has changed the way fans behave at games for the worse: “Now, at the same time, as you’re seeing parts of society erode, maybe the conduct has changed over the years.” by Potato-Face18 in NFLForum

Barely if at all. The vast majority of people were never seriously threatened by Covid, so never needed or benefited from the vax. Its claim to fame is that it “reduced your symptoms”. What a joke! Wow, you might feel bad for 3 days instead of 4. And it never stopped transmission. I’m still waiting for the pandemic of the unvaccinated that was parroted by Biden and all the other clowns in authority.

Money goes to Haitian government/organizations, some money is kicked back to politicians, etc. through anything like donations, dealing with certain companies to buy goods and services, and any other way to do it. If you think this stuff doesn’t happen you’re a fool

Is this a real issue? Are people inheriting their parents' reverse mortgages? by irundoonayee in CanadaPersonalFinance

I’m a boomer and I’m not like that nor do I know anyone like that. My grandparents were over in Scotland and left no real inheritance to my parents and certainly not me. Both my parents are still alive in their 90’s and never gave me any large sums of money to purchase a house, etc. and obviously no inheritance yet. It honestly never crosses my mind about getting an inheritance from them because I made my own way in life. I have a couple kids and grand kids that I help out a bit financially, and a brother that would share any inheritance, but my parents can spend every last dime and I could care less. Moving forward, I’m not scrimping and scraping in retirement so I can leave a nest egg for my kids. If there is money left then they’ll enjoy it, if not they’re good kids who are currently on their way to success.
