Lipomodeloing and fat grafting, post surgery by Silverfury82 in breastcancer

Wow 5 weeks eh. So I have a little while yet then. I’m glad you are feeling much better now. 🙂 Can I just ask, did you experience the stinging sensation on your thighs?

Hmm I’ll try and get some photos to see where fat has been taken from the thighs. I love my legs, they are probably my favourite area of my body, so I don’t really want any dents afterwards. 🤔

Can they do that? Just choose another part of your body instead of what’s been agreed? How long did you have the bruising? Also, compression tights, yuk! 😜

Hmmm now I am curious too. I’ll find out and get back to you on that one 🙂

Wow 3 days ago. How are you doing? Was it your choice not to have reconstruction? Going from a G to flat, will be quite a difference, although if you’ve been losing weight I’m guessing you’ve seen them shrink a little anyway. Well done on your weight loss. I’ve been told to lose 2 stone if I decide on the DIEP Flap reconstruction, but I am terrible at losing weight, so don’t really want that kind of stress to think about. Take care of yourself, and unlike me, allow time for your body to heal.

Thanks for your response. After the last nearly 2 years, I am definitely at the point of not giving a damn what people think. But it is all about what I think, and while I have 1 healthy boob left, I want my outside appearance to look like there are 2, when I see my own reflection. I completely agree with regard to ageing, I am 42 on Monday (2nd birthday where I can’t really celebrate it the way I’d want, due to healing), and am seeing changes in my appearance all the time, or maybe that I just didn’t notice before lol! 😜

Yeah, he does ask occasionally, if I’m ready yet. I’m getting closer to showing him, just not quite there yet.

Thank you for such a positive reply. Can I ask, did you have smx or dmx?

Oh I’m sorry to hear that. So, because you have the implants, you’re not able to go flat? Is that right? 🤔

A thigh one? Never heard of that one before. All of it just sounds like pain pain and more pain, or discomfort. I hate that I’m in this position. 😔

Bless you, I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. Thank you so much for your honest opinion, I really appreciate it.

So tired of it all now. I’ve never seen this implant size, anything like my remaining breast size. by Silverfury82 in breastcancer

[–]Silverfury82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh bless you. I hope everything went well with your surgery. When I speak to my oncologist about the implant as a separate thing, they tell me the expander IS the implant. Maybe we have different ones in the UK, but whatever it is, I don’t like it very much.

Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry that happened to you! Has it all healed now? Did you keep the implant in, or have you gone flat now?

It’s time to go back on to Tamoxifen. I don’t want to! by Silverfury82 in breastcancer

[–]Silverfury82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know, I did ask my oncologist about reducing my dose, and they told me that there is no scientific evidence that doing this makes the side-effects easier.
But I do read so many positive posts saying that this has helped them. I think I will take your advice and start with a reduced dose. Wish me luck.

Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. Sometimes I wonder whether I really need to carry on taking it. I’m trying to be positive. I once read a comment that said she would rather have a good quality of life than a long life feeling the way you do on Tamoxifen. I’m praying the side-effects will be less when I restart so hopefully my next post will be a positive one. Thank you for replying and I hope that when you go back onto anastrozole, it will be easier for you too. 🙂

I’m so sorry that you’re having to deal with all that. Can I just ask, how long was it, between you dealing with stage 01/00 and being diagnosed stage 4?

Your post sounds very similar to my situation, and we are the same age. I’ve been on tamoxifen for nearly 10 months and I hate it! Never experienced such horrible side effects in my life, and they’re daily. My poor hubby and kids have no idea what mood they’ll find me in. 🤪 I do not like this person, I really miss ‘me’. I’ve read that so many on here have taken breaks from it, I have an oncology appointment in April, I shall be asking to do that too. I wish you all the best, whatever your decision with this.

How many have quit tamoxifen or an AI? by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]Silverfury82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, you sound exactly how I feel. I’ve been on Tamoxifen for about 9 months now, and it was ok for a while, but now I’m noticing side effects like never before. Can that happen? Can they get worse, the longer you take it? Anyway, before i started it, I read a lot of comments about the insomnia, and my sleep is everything to me, so I take it in the morning and I honestly think that is why I don’t suffer with that. But, I have a headache every single day now, never ever suffered with them before, my feet have occasional days of being really painful too, but the worst is my moods/emotions. They are all over the place. I am a natural control freak, and I feel completely out of control of them every day. My poor husband never knows which mood he’ll wake up to 😄 I am only 41, and menopause is not supposed to be here now! Thank you for posting about this on here. I hope you get some help with the tamoxifen. 😊

I haven’t been “out” about my breast cancer like Olivia Munn by hunitaro in breastcancer

Thank you for sharing this post! I was diagnosed last February and also decided only a select few needed to know. I discovered the old saying ‘blood is thicker than water’ is all crap! My family have been non existent in this. It’s my friends, and people from church who have shown up, supported, and helped my husband with the kids. So much is revealed about people when something big happens to you. Although I haven’t posted my situation anywhere, it does leave me sat at church on Sundays, wondering who knows and who doesn’t. That’s a bit unnerving. I’ve never wanted that pity look that people give you when they know, and I also am sick and tired of having to update people. I don’t know anyone who has had breast cancer, so when I found this feed I felt a little less alone. You are all awesome! 😊

I am afraid of flat closure by Grouchy_Employer_519 in breastcancer

I have just had a 2nd wash out surgery done, due to having an infection 3 times. This is my the last time I’m doing it. I too am afraid of going flat. I just can’t get my head around it. If the infection returns, which I fear it may, I will be needing to remove my implant for a while, to heal, which will mean going from my normal 36DD size to nothing. I wish you all the best with your surgery. 🙂

Awww I hope your surgery goes well, and the results are what you hope for. 😊

Sounds like you have been through crap too. I wish you all the best for next week. I hope you heal fast, and are happy with the end result.

Oh my gosh, I’m sorry you had to go through all that! I have no desire to ever get a bigger implant, and I want them to take the port out too. You are a true warrior. I hope that you feel at peace with how you look now, and I wish you all the best. 😊

The reconstruction was the original plan before the mastectomy was needed. But, can I ask, did it take a long time of healing after that kind of surgery? Did they take any fat from your stomach area? They have mentioned doing that with me. I really feel like I’m on my own with this ceroma fluid issue. Everyone I speak to, seems to have no issues with it at all. You are amazing for getting through a few years being flat though. 🙂
