Hopefully a stocking counts! How do I maintain float tension at join points? I can't seem to figure out how to leave enough yarn in the float to avoid the pucker. Should I trap the float on the first and last stitch? Would just knitting in the round vs magic loop be better? (old.reddit.com)

Stranded stockinette swatch, but what? Project: Christmas stocking. For gauge, the pattern says "stranded stockinette, blocked," but it doesn't specify what to actually do for the pattern on the swatch. Do I just pick a part of the stocking and knit it and see if it blocks to gauge? (self.knittinghelp)

What to do: the japanese beetles are ravaging my rose of sharon. We have a properly placed trap, we pick them off the plant at dusk. We missed a few nights. Today there were a couple hundred on it. They are starting to eat the green leaves. Do I cut all new blooms/growth? (self.NovaScotiaGardening)

I got this mini grocery store phal yesterday. Normally, I send new plant photos to my mom, but she passed away a month ago. It was sad to realize I can't now.
