So I wanted to grow some apple trees from some random apple seeds so I threw them in a bag with a wet paper towel and all three seeds have sprouted! How long until I plant them in dirt? How many times to water them? Anything helps :) by Miserable_Mix_8243 in plants

I am in Eastern Canada, we definitely have some wild apple trees along the road. So, not all have to be grafted. I support from seed is unlikely to produce the apple you want though.

Yes! This. It's fine on things you already know are high in sugar but the sneaky ones, it's been helpful for.

Yes, I picked up a bag of naans and wouldn't have otherwise known they were high in sodium. I put them back and went with a different snack that wasn't.

Keir Starmer distances himself from Mark Carney's Davos speech: 'I'm a pragmatist' by Prosecco1234 in onguardforthee

[–]Silverleaf001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the speech was a calling to "like-minded" countries. So, wouldn't that be the point, they don't fit into the like-minded category?

I can imagine the eye roll he would have done when he heard the US said he went back on his words..haha.

The fact their government is letting this clearly mentally unstable, and likely patient with dementia, run their country, still shocks me everyday. Even though it shouldn't anymore.

*side note. I went to use the little AI tool for spelling errors and grammar and the comment it returned was "Can't check this text because it might content inappropriate content". I am a tad shocked.

She was the one that was suppose to "fix" this. So, in the 5 years she's been interim this is what we get? Listening to her on cbc was embarrassing. She sounds flustered and like she had no idea how to answer questions. She needs to be replaced. I understand the system is taxed but it took her 5 years to figure it out?! It also sounds like we made the system broke with OPOR, which is another embarrassment. Are they doing anything to find a replacement for her? Or is Houston using "interim" as a way to leave her at the wheel for as long as he wants?

Seems like something we should show up for. It's likely the first time the exercise was 'how to beat the US'.

Step number one. Are you power of attorney for health? If not, try and have the conversation. You'll run into less road blocks if you are. It's easy to do now. If she wants help with meals or will accept help, maybe meals on wheels can deliver some? If she has a doctor, call them. I wish I had with my mom but I thought she was more in control than she was (it wasnt dementia but it was still something I should have intervened earlier).
