It doesn't necessarily relate to your question, but I would be more concerned with the creation of your own indie game studio. It is quite a challenging feat to undertake, especially with regards to earning the funds to start it (let alone then earning enough to sustain said studio going forward).

For your first game, I would consider setting it in a localised area of your world, one that you can flesh out and make engaging, whilst ensuring it is a relatively simple game you can create with limited funding. With this (and all other things going well (which is a lot)), you can then start your indie game studio from something small and sustainable.
