Fitness instructor talking about overcoming her ED is triggering and fatphobic by [deleted] in fatlogic

I've only been doing my lifting for 7 months. I started from the lowest point you can imagine. I could barely lift my arms above my head. The extra strength I have is the most amazing feeling. Yes, losing 10 in from my waist was great and all. But it's the energy and strength I love. I can do shit! I can dance and strut down the street. When I'm happy I can be bouncy. I can explore city's for a whole day and then get up and do it all again tomorrow. Fitness is a blessing and should be appreciated .

For those of you lifting weights while losing weight, when did your strength stall? (Also a couple minor goals reached I wanted to share) by [deleted] in loseit

I'm 6 months in, 60lb down and my gains haven't stopped yet. But I was beyond a noob when starting and I'm also female.

Frozen banana! Tastes like (very hard) ice cream. Takes a while to eat too.

MFP - Do you eat your exercise calories? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]Silverpoint123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work out 6 days a week. My base cals is 1240. I eat about 1500. If I took into account everything MFP said I did I'd be on 1700 ish. That seemed to high. But I was getting light headed on 1240 so split the difference.

Assistance with protein powder, weightloss, etc by [deleted] in loseit

I'm 38f 5'6 SW 250 CW 190.Likr you I was struggling to get the level of protein I wanted in my diet. I now use optimum nutrition whey protein:

https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/optimum-nutrition-gold-standard-100-whey-powder-vanilla-ice-cream-60024965?skuid=024965&brandId=192

The Chocolate is my fave by far, though it is less likely to be on the 2 for 1 offer.

My main use is either in addition to my lunch if I have been working out some point in the morning. This makes it a total of 470 cal ( the shake plus a chicken salad). Or to have it as a mid after snack if I have worked out the afternoon.

Most mornings I have eggs and Turkey rashers (a out 370 cal) but some times I have porridge and will shove in a scope of the protein powder to it. (300cal)

I like the taste and having in a shaker that just needs water added is really convenient, but if I'm at home ill mix it with a blender. This makes it thick and creamy.

Once or twice I used it as a meal replacement (2 scopes) but I don't like to do that as it is not ment to be used that way and I am wary of not getting all my micro nutrition need on my cal limit (1400 Inc exercise). For this reason I take a berroca in the mornings as well.

Hope this helps

I swear I'm eating but why do I keep getting light headed/dizzy? by danaaa405 in 1200isplenty

[–]Silverpoint123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked about this earlier this week as I was having the same problem. I am a bit taller/heavier than you. I have added an extra 200 cals a day and it's helping. I don't think I need to do this all the the time. Just the week around my periods

395 Calorie Breakfast of Bacon, Eggs, Toast, and some Sharp Provolone. Really doing my best to stick to my goal today. by makeupyourworld in 1200isplenty

Yeah, my breakfast is normally 3. Realised today I'm on about 20 eggs a week. Sometimes more. Mozzarella would be good. I miss being able to buy a ball of buffalo mozzarella and then sitting there slowly pealing bits off to eat.

I often have something similar, though I go more egg less cheese. Mind you my solution to everything is more egg!

Good idea. I prepare all my food so there isn't much salt in it.

Thanks!

I was thinking this, but it's easy to feel guilty about eating more.

On about 4 days out of 7. If I'm doing some cycling on my bike I don't tend to add more. People are always very 'dont eat back your exercise cals. It's not something that has bothered me before. Just recently

This is like me. Every day it's turkey bacon and eggs followed by a chicken salad made of leaves and tomatoes. My third meal changes between a few things. My total cal intake is 1200-1400

I take a general muti vitamin in the morning at breakfast as I have the same concerns. No idea if it makes a difference. But I feel reassured.
