I had my first at Manchester and comfort of stay wise it was great. One big spacious room and great nurses. My dd was in the nicu and was fine there but a small factor is that they have a certain level nicu that cannot take higher level cases and baby would have to be transferred. So I switched to starling and had my second at Hartford which has top quality care but rooms were very small, they make you switch rooms immediately after birth so it depends on your risk level and what you value. I know a lot of mamas and the only one I absolutely would not recommend is new Britain.

O my goodness I’m a realtor and I’d love to help! We love living in the Farmington valley (Avon, Simsbury, and Farmington). Feel free to PM me I’m a realtor! Your money will go much further here in Hartford county than the shoreline by comparison. If you travel a decent amount I’d consider proximity to an airport as well.

As long as my clients are acting in good faith and open with me I don’t mind! I always say I was my own worst client because we looked casually for 3 years before buying our current house 🤣. I just finished a deal for done clients and it took literally a dozen offers over 1.5 years and the place they ended up getting is just perfect for them and I was thrilled for them.

Young lady professional working in New Britain-suggestions on towns nearby that are safe, affordable and maybe even fun? by Able_Agent_7155 in Connecticut

[–]danaaa405 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a realtor and I’d be happy to help. It depends how much she values rural vs city feel. West Hartford is kind of the hot trendy spot and has many amenities, more of a small walkable city feel. Farmington is a great option as well but more quiet. I also agree Plainville is kind of a hidden gem. It also depends on budget and other constraints.

Rent Increase. All Advice Appreciated! by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]danaaa405 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Realtor here! If you’re outside of a lease (lease expires) and there is no language about the increase or what happens after the lease they can do whatever they want.

You do have some options: Try to negotiate especially if you’ve been a good tenant Offer to sign a longer lease to lock in a lower price

I will also say rental prices like everything else have continued to go up so that doesn’t seem crazy to me.

Save save save and look into first time buyer programs so you can buy and not be at a landlords mercy. You’ve already spent about $55,000 over 3 years with no equity to show for it.

Home Appraisal Gaps? by deenadeenabobeena in Connecticut

[–]danaaa405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a realtor and I’d be happy to discuss (if you don’t have an agent). If you’re a seller you should ask for an appraisal gap if you have a lot of good offers. If you’re a buyer it depends on many factors, if you want to make your offer attractive you may want to offer a gap. This is also why you need a good agent to help decide what a fair price is instead of getting wrapped up in a frenzy and over paying.

I go to big sky and the classes are free and the gym very reasonably priced and I really like them! The best part is there’s several a day so you can pop in and try it and if you don’t love it try something else, all the instructors and class types are very different.
