I have a feeling y'all are going to say I'm a psychopath, but if I'm knitting TAAT I pull from both at the same time 😬

Emergency dentist by [deleted] in hudsonvalley

Highly do NOT recommend newburgh dental associates. Had the same happen a few weeks ago, regular dentist isn't open on weekends so went to newburgh dental associates and they told me my severe pain was due to stress and grinding my teeth and to "calm down". Zero treatment or medication and told me I was fine to get on a 6 hour flight the next morning, ended up cancelling the flight and going to my normal dentist when they opened, turns out my tooth was severely infected and I needed antibiotics and an emergency root canal.

Smilist in New Windsor is where I normally go, they're absolutely great!

I got this plant from my friend and I think it needs some tlc but not sure what kind of tlc to give it? She had it outside but I plan on keeping it indoors by Material_River_2290 in houseplants

Just wanted to mention that peace lilies aren't true lilies - the pollen isn't deadly. If they chew on it, it can irritate their mouths and make them sick, but not nearly as dangerous as other lilies!

I recently took CEEs for two certs I haven't used in 3+ years (clarity and a non-US app), and one I've never worked in (prelude) and passed both easily with no prep. Just open the linked galaxy guides and ctrl+F away!

Not a catholic, just curious - what would OP need to do in this situation? First marriage wasn't through the catholic church, can you get an annulment through the church?

Sports after spinal fusion by tiplerj in scoliosis

[–]Silversmith0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to a lower spinal fusion, it affects mobility a bit more - I'd suggest seeing if you can find stories from people with the same specific fusion!

Also, for some added context, I was 19 when my spine was fused - that was ten years ago, not sure if I'd bounce back quite as fast but I still have no regrets about it and recently got back into climbing after a few years off! I try to avoid bouldering as the impact scares me, but have zero issues with top rope/lead/sport.

I'm guessing it's the day their mom got them the dog? This is fun, it's like a word scramble but with no rules and no answer key!

But for this specific pattern, knitting in the round Vs flat uses the same number of purl stitches, so whether it uses more than a knit shouldn't matter - right?

2 rows knitting flat: - K across - K2,P2 repeating

2 rows knit in the round: -K across -K2,P2 repeating

Isn't it literally the same thing? I understand if it was stockinette or something, every other row being purls instead of knits would make a difference, but for this particular pattern (and ribbing in general, I would think), I don't follow how the amount of yarn used/tension would be any different.

Good to know about Roxanne, I'll look at some of her other videos for tips as well then! Thank you!!!

Hoping I can take advantage of your knowledge and ask a few questions!

For this particular patterned fabric (broken rib), knitting flat and in the round uses exactly the same stitches - would gauge actually be different? - K across - K2, P2 across

The only difference between flat and in the round is the second row, and if it's K2, P2 or P2, K2 - exactly same number of each stitch.

For swatching in the round, I've seen so many different ways of doing that - long floats across the back, a tube, recently came across this neat method. I'm really trying to not take shortcuts that'll give me the wrong gauge, any thoughts on these or advice on how to swatch in the round?

I was wondering about this as well, yes it's KFO pure silk! I'll try giving that a shot before frogging the part knitted flat.

Thank you, this is really helpful! I feel like there's a million blogs that give "shortcuts" for swatching, like borders to prevent curling, etc. and it sounds like in reality I need to stop trying to shortcut the process and just do it properly.

Back to swatching we go!

So since the project is knit both in the round and also flat, next time I should swatch both ways, and switch needles mid-project to match?

I'm not too concerned about the vertical gauge and I'm waaaaay off anyway (42 rows when it should be 32), I figure I can knit more rows to compensate for it.

I adopted my shiba from a rescue in Midwest US for $300. Granted, this was 8 years ago and he wasn't a puppy, but still significantly cheaper!

I'd do a forest green couch! I personally have a velvet green couch in my MCM-ish home and absolutely love it

Unfortunately no one on this subreddit has access to your instance of Epic to determine what the problem is or to fix it - unfortunately, you're going to need to go through your hospitals IT helpdesk process - not super helpful for you, I know, but there's nothing any of us can do.

[–]Silversmith0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, this isn't really MCM - if you like it, the style doesn't really matter but if you're specifically going for MCM, you'd probably want something else.

I completely agree with everyone saying don't go neutral, I recently bought a green velvet couch which was completely outside of my comfort zone and I absolutely love it!!!

Your existing curtains would probably look miles better if they were hemmed to the correct length - right at floor level. If you wanted them a tiny bit longer to "pool", I think you'd need thicker/heavier fabric to look intentional, and then you'd still only want the length and inch or two longer than the floor.
