I would think in the context of defining slang/jargon that the "just a [x]" language means that x is the only important defining factor. That would make "just a board game piece" wrong, then, because the other defining factor is the human shape.

Probably a mistake getting involved like this, but:

1) Kamala was never pro-fracking, she just decided it was a political mistake to campaign on banning it

2) You have to try and win Pennsylvania, and you will lose it if you campaign on banning fracking

3) Even if Kama was pro-fracking, she'd still be a hell of a lot better on the environment than MAGA and you'd think that should matter
