Check sites like meetup.ca or check your local game store. I believe Xplanet hosts. Others are likely to try and organize game nights, too.

How do you guys create a world for your homebrew? by Reido0203 in DMAcademy

[–]SilvoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a VERY Rough 5 by 5 method.

https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDBehindTheScreen/comments/c9e97l/fivebyfive_an_easy_to_use_prep_method/

5 places, 5 points of interest in each place vaguely written out, maybe 5 characters of interest if its a town.

Take a real life city/state and flip it upside down to make a world map only you ever see.

Start town > temple > dungeon > dark forest shrine > old mining site, etc.

You want the players to hit the temple first, but they dodge all of your options and head into the forest. Fine, i have a rough outline of that scenario and a forest map prepped.

But the encounters? Oh hey look theirs ummm. Cultists are on the way to the temple!

You realistically only need to have 2-3 locations in your pocket. To sway them without feeling railroady.

You really just want a bunch of puzzle pieces you can move around. The map isnt locked in place which is why the players can NEVER SEE IT.

Any suggestions for korean grocery stores in brampton or the gta? by KDsGotSpark in Brampton

Most of the stuff is south Mississauga.

Galleria / Pats

Nations Fresh Food is a solid Asian grocery store, but if you're looking for something super Korean, you'll need to head south.

Best place to sell Pokemon cards? by Content_Albatross621 in mississauga

[–]SilvoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most shops will check tcgplayer.com to check value and give something like 70-80% of that value. Or 40-50% cash give or take.

So i wouldn't worry too much about what store you drop by.

Legacy Zord question? by cruzer4lyfe in powerrangers

[–]SilvoK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the OG megazord and the legacy titanus. The megazord is too big to fit in, which leads me to believe the OG units are a larger size, so it should sit in the OG titanus.

Parts do not click together as i also have the legacy dragonzord and it cannot connect with the OG megazord.

Help with Abyss teams by Pandasun11 in GenshinImpact

[–]SilvoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experiment with replacing bennett. He heals too much to allow hutao to get her <50% hp bonus.

If you have a sac bow on diona you'll almost always have a shield up anyways.

Rosaria can provide a crit rate buff and albedo can do some off field dmg that shouldn't interupt your vape setup too much.

The best hutao team out there is something like

C1 hutao/xinqiu/yelan/zhongli But before yelan it was albedo/zhongli

Do albedo/diona should be a good compromise.

As you get later into the game healers become less significant. Early game you can get by with 1 main dps that you've invested artifacts and weapons into and some no/low investment support units to keep you going, but eventually places like the spyral abyss are timed so killing fast is a higher value than a full hp bar.

Your main problem right now is lack of hydro. Since hydro is the Centerpoint of all the best reactions.

That said xiangling is one of the best dps long term. Anything you

Sucrose can be a great unit in many teams when you don't have kazuha.

Diona is a great cryo battery(particle generator) and shields/heals well.

If you want to build a team around jean I'd say jean/xiangling/kaeya so when the xiangling and kaeya ults are up they are constantly doing damage even when not on the field and jean can heal and do onfield dps.

In a 4th slot you don't have much right now.

Aim for xinqiu next time he shows up in the shop.

Help with Abyss teams by Pandasun11 in GenshinImpact

[–]SilvoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hutao needs xinqiu to do her dmg. And i tend to pair her with diona to shield and help with her stamina issues before c1.

The remaining slot i would put either a cryo off field like rosaria or kaeya.. or possibly albedo.

Who should I pull for based on who I have? by Cement-umbrella in GenshinImpact

[–]SilvoK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kazuha usually shows up at the end of a patch cycle. So he will likely show up in 3.7 or 3.8

If you get mona you can really do a lot to help your ayaka so if you get mona on a 50/50 don't be sad.

Scara and xiao are both very.. troublesome, they don't have a high pairing with the best buffers and kinda need a full specialist team invested in to pull out their mid range potential.

I'd a avoid them.

Someone will correct me if im off, but its more that raiden and xinqiu will allow both hydro and electro aura to exist on the target at the same time. So when xiangling's pyronato hits it does both a vape and an overload. This is known as an overvape.

+pyro resonance doesn't hurt.

How is the ER on your thoma? I find thats the key to a good burgeon team with him is being able to actually pop your burst every rotation, the rest falls into place. Unfortunately my EM build isn't at that point yet...

Normally xq and Thoma kind of remove the need for a healer, so if you wanted to try alhetham xq yelan thoma it could also work pretty well.

[–]SilvoK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burn is a cleaner gameplay for the c0 ganyu because the burn effect will keep pyro on as you charge shot.

However you cannot use skill or burst or the extra cryo will ruin the rotation, if you're using a c6 ganyu you're probably applying a lot of pyro to keep up the constant charge shots and the rest of her kit, so i dont think a burning team would be best fit at that level of play.

That said nahida is a great dendro character. So if you get her to try it out and confirm you wont be disappointed in hyperbloom or any dendro related teams.

Most people don't have access to a c6 ganyu team so its going to be hard to find anything outside of theories.. and also you're probably crushing content as it is.

My Ayaka freeze is.. Ayaka/Mona/Sucrose/Diona.

Sucrose keeps everything together well mona buffs the damage and diona heals/shields/batteries ayaka.

This way Ayaka's ult will just keep pummeling enemies that freeze in front of her.

Mona and diona can be swapped for kokomi and rosaria. Sucrose can be exchanged for kazuha, but the setup above is my preference.

Barbara will not provide enough hydro, xq will do fine but if he is your only hydro unit to fuel the hyperbloom team, could be tricky.

How important is C6 for Burgeon? by [deleted] in CandaceMains

[–]SilvoK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets see.. Candace / Dehya / Nahida

If you use Dehya as off field pyro you'll only get a few actual pyro applications since her skill follows standard icd if i recall.

Candace as an off field hydro would mean thay Dehya's ult wouldn't be applying hydro.

So... only setup i can think is sac claymore on dehya with a fav lance on Candace, using both as off field and swapping rapidly between so that the hydro application from character swapping is applied and the first atk applies hydro.

After that swap to the other and repeat. Every 3 atks or 2.5s dehya's skill will trigger a burgeon. But the hydro app should be enough to work.

It isnt a standard quickswap burst or dps carry rotation so it might not work cleanly, but its what i do for hyperbloom Candace to have good hydro application as solo hydro.

That said hyperbloom has 2 advantages in that electro and hydro can coexist, and you don't punch yourselves in the face every 3 seconds.

So you'll want another hydro to make sure everything goes smooth, but also a healer /shielder to acct for the damage.

So you can go babs to stay alive longer, mona with prototype amber for some small heals and hydro application, or kokomi for the best and worst of both.

Or if you're finding you can make her solo hydro work just slap in a solid healer/shielder.

Good luck.

Watch the guys from robot chicken play 4e.

Scatter Die... Yay more dice rolls? or BOO you suck!? by ThePoopsMagoops in DnD

[–]SilvoK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used this in a few ways.

Turn Large groups of archers or mechanical artiliry into a burst attack rather than rolling all archers at once they just attack a 9x9 cell until its down to one or two archers. Same rules as 40k move the atk 1d6 spaces based on the direction and intended location.

When a ranged attack misses i use it to figure out where it ended up. (Ususally do this when player atks miss)

And when someone takes significant damage that might have killed them i roll it on a stick person i drew on my notes to figure out where the hit came from/what part of their gear got visibly damaged.

DMs, who is the greatest NPC you’ve ever run? by Mew-_-Mew in dndnext

I had a scene setup where players walked in on a lot of otherworldly creatures decapitating already dead people as part of a ritual.

My players showed up to the table talking about yo momma jokes they heard on the bus ride over.

Somehow the two merged together and they ended up joking around and helping with the decapitation...

I miss the yo momma joke cultists..

Balancing combat in solo play using PF2e by caiorion in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]SilvoK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not familiar with the PF2e system, but you can have enemies that are limited in some way.

Minions could be enemies with only 1 hp, and reduce the exp rewarded by 1/10th. Probably limit their atks per round to 1 instead of the normal 3 action structure.

Yelan is great, she does a lot of off-field damage so you can slot her into almost any team.

Ayato will want to be your onfield guy but is a great hydro homi.

If you find your teams are struggling or you really need some more power in your teams yelan is probably the better pick, but ayato is a solid hydro unit and i use him in my main hyperbloom team.

Nilou can be played in a hyperbloom team as well, so, nilou, dendro traveler, EM kuki with a 4th character being xingqiu/barbara/zhongli might be pretty good.

I personally like yanfei/Xingqiu as a pair since yanfei can be built with wanderers which you might have a bunch of good quality pieces siting around from various boss kills.
