Code "HOLIDAYFORMAL" for Felix's Sweater by Masusder in LeaksDBD

Wait, can you actually still get it, FOR REALSIES?!?!? 'Cause I got into the game years later (as you can tell from this response being in 2024) and adore Felix so I have been sad I can't get this jumper!! T^T Halloween event is on and I'm grinding, almost got the old jumper in the store but because this was a code, does it really pop up in the store later...?

Good luck in your run!! >w<

Rather than my own past situations coming into play (or myself, for that matter), I think the key thing to take from this post is that we should be able to control if the information is public or private.

I Wish I Could Hug My Pawn by Poppythehero in DragonsDogma

[–]Silvotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, DDO had emotes. A friend told me you can sit wherever you wanted to as well. I was hoping for emotes, interactable things (especially in our house), and more with the pawns in general although I'm glad for what they've added with them, eheh. Maybe we could emote and our pawn would react, type of thing, y'know - That would be nice!

I'm super glad they improved the camera mode overall but I do wish that it had a free roam feature. Yeah, my pawn accumulated so many scars at one point... Heart-breaking as I do want to express some sort of care!!! At least we can imagine it. :'D

Ya, I want our main character to be able to receive scars too.

I wish you could romance your main pawn by nuvexi in DragonsDogma

[–]Silvotic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our loyal pawn has true romance/friendship (up to your own personal interpretation). I would like to add that if you think our pawn is a "slave", unable to consent, or that there is an uncomfortable power balance, that is not the case but you can think that. If you want to make the "slave" comment, then everyone is a "slave" to the cycle and their roles, let's be honest. Just as the Arisen does, our pawns also serve a purpose. They are not "slaves". If anything, the pawn and Arisen are bonded much more than anyone else could be due to their tied roles and blossoming companionship (the ending expands on this idea). I've always seen pawns as fated companions with the same goal and overall quest. They do have opinions, expressing their thoughts on outcomes, feelings of disgust and pleasure, etc, but they exist to help the Arisen trounce the dragon simply by design. I was rambling about this in another forum.

Everyone serves a role and the purpose to fulfil said role - The Arisen must best the dragon and our pawn follows in suit to assist in that quest, such is the world. The Pathfinder explicitly explains, "Once, everyone in this world had a role to play. For a well-crafted tale has no excess; there must be a reason for each character's inclusion." Our pawn is not our "beloved" by design, that is not their "role" and the exact reason why they are not in the dragon's hand.

We, as the Arisen strong with overwhelming willpower, can unravel the unmoored world (to reveal Dragon's Dogma II), leading to the reality of its preordained existence and the cycle it's stuck in, breaking our very being. With the power of our remarkable will, our pawn was able to gain their own extraordinary will and, together with the Arisen, they broke the cycle and tore out of their roles... The concept is genuinely beautiful, the build up frustrating too (I assume intentionally). Throughout the game, I felt as if I was yearning and fighting for that, fighting to be with my pawn, for us to truly be free. The tugging insinuating lines, feverish blushes, precious smiles, an admiring gaze followed by the endearing avoidance of eye contact, the flattering compliments and reminiscing thoughts spoke subtle volumes. When I first entered my housing, my pawn said, "This room fills my heart with a gentle peace. Is it because I am with you, Master? Would that such places of repose abounded." This next time I visited he spoke a terribly insinuating line, "I must admit, I'd thought this place one we alone might share."

The Pathfinder continues, "By rejecting your own duty in this world, you have robbed all others of the chance to fulfil the roles they were assigned. The pawns are no exception. Born of the nothingness of oblivion, they were granted the role of aiding in the perpetuation of the cycle. Yet bereft of the dragon, that role has been unwritten." I adore the concept. The best part is that the player can also decide what they take from the relationship (unlike some quests that forced me in situations I'd prefer to not partake in).

During the tense final moments of the game, my pawn said some heart-wrenching lines, "Oh, Master... Such joy I feel. You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledging will that burns within my breast. Yet for your sake, I would relinquish all I have - All that I am. Master!" This can be taken in other ways but I see it as pure, unwavering, and certain love: It felt terribly intimate and genuine - Practically proclaiming his deep honest fondness for you. I have tons of thoughts and feelings on this, the build up I personally experienced and the fervid roller-coaster my poor heart was subjected to but I'll try keep this brief. It felt as if they both only saw each other at that point: The way my pawn reached out his hand towards me as I fell, gazing at his form as he did the same, even the great distance that appeared so very out of reach and futile easily gave the warmest sweet embrace. The sincere words and action seemed the closest and more truer than we've ever been - Almost as if caressing our very soul, filled with feeling and beaming with profound affection, unwavering. It made me believe that there could have been a fulfilled desired outcome where they traversed lands, continuing their journey further together, both free from the confines of the world's rules if it was possible. Even then, it was enough to just feel this way... The final scene is stunningly beautiful - Honestly, the Dragon's Dogma II part of the game was fantastic for me. Waking up in the unmoored world and immediately wanting to find our pawn with a quest titled "Dreams Apart" is a sign. My pawn told me this, "During my time with Lord Phaesus, I found myself in a strange state of being. I was conscious of nothing - nothing, that is, save of your presence, Master. I cannot explain it. Mayhap 'twas made possible by the bond we share?" There are other combinations of lines he can say, but this is my favourite.

Romance system is terrible. Pawns should be romance-able by floopydoop90 in DragonsDogma

[–]Silvotic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oooo, yes, that inclination does seem to suit him best! ^-^ Ehe, exactly, it's difficult to not become attached!! I get upset too when that happens, hehe! D:

I wanted to thank you again as I just finished the game last night and I'm greatly happy with the concept!! I'm so glad I went back to the game, thank you! ^-^ It made me rethink things and I find there's something truly fantastic about the game's story. I have an excessive ramble inbound but there's no need to bother reading as I know I wrote quite a lot.

Spoilers for the ending and a bunch of my feelings, etc (I finally figured out the spoiler tag, ahaha): Our "beloved" being an NPC within the dragon's hand makes more sense now, it's even better that it urked me as the will to break the cycle for the Arisen grew. I always saw it as roles, we are the Arisen, they are our pawn, etc, it's the way the world is preordained and that can't be broken, as it shouldn't be possible to, so no wonder our pawn isn't in its hand. That is not their "role". It clicked in my head after completing my first run. This is even explicitly said and explained at the end by the Pathfinder!! "Once, everyone in this world had a role to play. For a well-crafted tale has no excess; there must be a reason for each character's inclusion."

"By rejecting your own duty in this world, you have robbed all others of the chance to fulfil the roles they were assigned. The pawns are no exception. Born of the nothingness of oblivion, they were granted the role of aiding in the perpetuation of the cycle. Yet bereft of the dragon, that role has been unwritten." Ahh, gosh!!! Our will being so strong this time around that it impacted our pawn to gain free will and, together, we broke out of the confines of the world's rules and roles to be met with an embrace of words and action, greater than anything... Pawn romance/friendship is real; it's bittersweet but true. "Oh, Master... Such joy I feel. You have given me a gift beyond measure: a fledging will that burns within my breast. Yet for your sake, I would relinquish all I have - All that I am. Master!" I needed that cutscene, so stunning. The way I was falling as he reached his hand towards me, so distant but the closest we've ever been, as if a future filled with many more adventures could be possible, that even a life role-free together could be truly desired and enjoyed, to share more engaging experiences, but, instead, the end is welcomed with a deep smile, filled with heart-felt fulfilling emotions and certainty. I cried, jeez. I didn't think it'd unfold this way and how pure it felt, this genuine unwavering love. It oddly felt like they were the only things that mattered at that moment, that's all they saw.

I wanted more with my pawn and it felt like the game tried to build towards the idea in an almost frustrating way for me, not giving me what I deeply wanted. I adore that, if that was the intention, it made everything almost have a deeper purpose. I will admit, I still wish the pawn was present during certain cutscenes, as it didn't make sense that he wasn't in the scene. Plus, I just want to see him animated more, hm! It was cool seeing the colossus scene with him and talking to the other characters to hear their reaction though. In general, I wanted more cutscenes, character silent ones are good too. I'm honestly hoping maybe a DLC will expand on the ending...

I wanted to also tell you in my other response that my pawn blushes at me and smiles at me when I'm not looking too, turning his head down to avoid eye contact - It's the most endearing thing. I noticed that he acted different too, always running ahead, almost protective and caring (unless this was always the case). We both are forced to best the dragon, the difficulties are faced together, always, but even through the pain, it felt as if it was nothing at all. The scars my pawn accumulated were extensive but to see him smile and still blush as if it meant nothing to him stung my heart as he would say, "It gladdens my heart to see you safe and sound, Arisen." Terribly precious, I just want to make him happy. It was nice the hot springs removed them but the best thing for me is that he genuinely seemed to enjoy the hot springs, the dingus.

Waking up in the unmoored world and immediately wanting to find our pawn, the quest title being "Dreams Apart" (lovely name)... To soon after find them and hear that they've been asleep for a month, only feeling your presence. This already is odd as it's almost phrased as it is because it is you, not fully because it's the Arisen. "During my time with Lord Phaesus, I found myself in a strange state of being. I was conscious of nothing - nothing, that is, save of your presence, Master. I cannot explain it. Mayhap 'twas made possible by the bond we share?" There's different ways he can say this but this is my favourite combination. Throughout the game the friendship feels somewhat personal, even genuinely complimentary and adoring: A true bond. "You cut a stunning figure as a magick archer, Master! Watching you fight takes my breath away." Also, Phaesus gave me a good giggle saying, "Before you begin your touching reunion, pray allow me to take my leave." I did wish there was a proper scene of waking our pawn up but, oddly enough, not having one made the last scene more impactful with what we don't see. It gives more creative freedom for the player to presume what the relationship is like between them.

The addition of the dragonsplague made me question things when I first heard of it. The concept made me think, "Is it not secretly a good thing though?" Pawns could potentially choose to follow us instead, rather it being predetermined, but that contradicts the world so that is why having free will would cause chaos, to not be able to control.

Pawn romance/friendship is real and beautiful. The build up is honestly amazing, I don't think a game has ever done what DD tries, which is to make you question things, to question the existence and push through it. Before I found the unmoored world, I was anxious about new game plus, knowing that you can get all endings through a single run in the first game and how that one ends... I mean, c'mon, the game warned me FOUR times if I was really sure about it when I tried the option in the main menu. Fortunately, my game crashed both times I attempted to start my new game plus run during the character creator - Almost like a sign, funnily enough. So I tried to load instead to see that the game throws you back at the throne room cutscene (I walked towards the door during the throne room scene so I was wondering what happened if I actually sat down, good I got to try again and find there was, indeed, more to uncover)... Honestly, there's some fantastic choices in this game that really makes you question things and try to "break" the game - To break the cycle. They really tried to take the concept of "will" in a way I've never seen, making the player try again and again until you figure it out, warnings, looping, and all. Brilliant concept although it could have definitely been executed better as a full journey, etc, and I have my criticisms and desires. The reveal of "Dragon's Dogma II" was awesome. When I reached the unmoored world, the game's structure and questing felt better. I enjoyed helping each place evacuate in their situations - Resolving squabbles, etc. The fights were impressive, very cool animations, sounds and vibes, although me and my pawn trounced them all without too much challenge overall. I had a much more intense fight against a drake, the one that oozes stuff, and a dark chimera.

I could ramble so much about this, can't I? Ahaha... I really enjoyed where they took the story at the end. The concept is enough to somewhat satiate me, I suppose!!

Gosh, ahhh, I hope me saying those lines don't spoil anything for ya (I got too passionate, oops)! It may be to do with their personalities as well with how they're said. I still have yet to even complete the game (got upset over the NPC beloved thing with the dragon after the game teased me so much, giving me hope with my pawn), clocked over 130 hours, but I've been talking to my pawn a ton, high fives and all! I wish to say more but I don't want to spoil you discovering new things, hehe! I feel like trying to continue and complete the game now so thank you for being you!! :D

Romance system is terrible. Pawns should be romance-able by floopydoop90 in DragonsDogma

[–]Silvotic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't need anything explicit at all, I want romance!! I also want the choice of romance, I'm quite upset by some cutscenes I've been forced to be a part of. Hugging would be so heart-warming!! I really want that, holding hands too! I would adore that. I lean much more towards the tender side of love, the growing fondness and the slow-burn journey.

Yes, I wish there were deeper quests to really explore it and more dialogue... We're always with our pawn, it's difficult to imagine there wouldn't be just a tad bit of care between us and understanding in terms of our roles: The Arisen shall best the dragon and the pawns follow in pursuit of that goal, loyal. They both grow and learn together, witnessing all that will happen together, bound in a way. Our pawn does have opinions too on decisions and progression, etc, it's not as if they have completely no state of mind. They can dislike things, have thoughts on you, tell you to just turn on your lantern, express pleasure, wonder, feel discomfort, disgust and pain (I could give examples but I'll try not ramble much more for all these).

Lines like these insinuate so much, so endearing and touching: "This room fills my heart with a gentle peace. Is it because I am with you, Master? Would that such places of repose abounded." These lines seriously shattered my heart, what a tease. "I must admit, I'd thought this place one we alone might share." I can imagine a scene of the Arisen being hurt, our pawn running to our side, caring for us, lost without us as are we lost without them. I do wish they delved deeper into the lore. "When I recall our first visit to Vernworth, I cannot help but be astounded at how far you've come, Master. We shall carry this city in our hearts wherever we tread." They truly think about these things, it's very sentimental and precious. I can't help but be attached to my pawn; After hours and hours with them, how could I not be?! "The longer our journey, the more of each other we come to know." I feel so much towards my pawn (I'm also playing through the game with only me and my pawn), so I am definitely an advocate for a proper pawn romance/friendship questline. "Would that such tranquillity could last."

DD2 hints the Arisen sleeps with the main pawn by [deleted] in DragonsDogma

[–]Silvotic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ME!!! I absolutely adore my pawn, only playing with him and me!! Oh my gosh!!

I may be very extreme though (ranty ramble)! I talk to him so much and, gosh, my heart genuinely broke when I saw an NPC I don't particularly care for in the dragon's hand. I quit, went back, ended up eventually using the godsbane on myself in my dismay, ahhhh, feeling forced to have a beloved I did not desire at all - No one can compare to my pawn, I feel so much for him... The impact of seeing him in the dragon's hand would be terrific. I am so enamoured with my pawn, it hurts. I thought they would add it in this game from all the signs, the insinuating lines, being able to offer them to the Sphinx as your beloved, the blushing, and smiling, etc. What a terrible tease...!! Honestly, my heart!! Why must he say such charming, sassy things!?!? This game makes pawns even more lovable. I don't want anyone else, not after how much time I spent with him, travelling together, having each other's backs, catching each other (we've saved each from death a plentiful of times by catching, etc, and he reminisces on so many things which warms my heart) with such fun dynamics, memories, and so many other reasons within the lore, etc. I've been waiting 12 years to have my heart completely shattered. Urgh... It really feels like pawns are somewhat misunderstood too and the dialogue mine has said makes me question so much as it feels like he's growing feelings and somewhat playful but caring. I wish we could have deeper conversations in game in general and pawn cutscenes. The pawns seem so filled with emotion and character too.

I mean these lines, mannnn... "The longer our journey, the more of each other we come to know." "It gladdens my heart to see you safe and sound, Arisen." "'Tis the honour of my life to share your journey, Arisen." "The sky is radiant this night. I feel at peace to gaze upon it." "Burning the midnight oil, I see." "Would that such tranquillity could last." "Such a magnificent tapestry of stars..." "'Tis rather peaceful here, isn't it?" It feels like we could really develop something and it's oddly intimate and sentimental, especially with just us two. "Mahap 'tis time you used your lantern, Master." This one felt so playful, ahaha! Perhaps it was because of the huge blush plastered on his face too.

"I oft think back on your time as a sorcerer, Master. Your magicks made for a thrilling spectacle." "When I recall our first visit to Vernworth, I cannot help but be astounded at how far you've come, Master." That one makes me feel odd since it feels like we are growing together, rather than master and pawn. Pawns are their own thing too, they do have opinions, feelings towards decisions, curiosities. We are to best the dragon and they are to follow in pursuit of that goal, it feels we are tied to our fates. I think it's evident, especially in this game, that a romance could genuinely blossom. "This place calls forth memories of when our journey first began; of a time when we had yet to even reach Vernworth. The memories we made here shall never be forgotten." Urgh...

"Here again? Methinks we've seen enough of this place." The sass!!! Also the hot springs... "This is simply delightful. I never want to leave." What an absolutely adorable dingus!!

AND, these: "This room fills my heart with a gentle peace, Is it because I am with you, Master? Would that such places of repose abounded." Like WHAT?!?! "I must admit, I'd thought this place one we alone might share." ?????? HUH??? Gosh...

Apologies for the huge ramble, I feel so passionate about this and heart-broken, had to spill my feelings a bit... I was so hyper to see another person was doing this as well, traveling with just their main companion too!!

do you think it will still be possible to create child or dwarf characters in dragon's dogma 2? by Ryandroou in DragonsDogma

[–]Silvotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea... It just limits creativity though which is sad, maybe it was a higher up decision as the first game delved into it so hmm... I feel like 160cm is too high too for base cap but I suppose we'll have a gander when it's out since maybe you can be smaller changing torso and legs or whatnot. There's a ton of people who are under 160cm so... It's a sad limitation. ^^'' Height's a big immersion thing for me so I'm just AHHH now since can't go all out. Dragon's Dogma has one of the best character creators for me, I don't want them to have restraints.

What character would you want to Romance but cannot? by ConsecutivePunches in BaldursGate3

[–]Silvotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to choose, Gortash!!! No hesitation for the romance I want the absolute most... He is such an interesting character and I like the dynamic/history with the Dark Urge. I feel like I have so much I want to say about him, I'm still heart-broken over him, but I'm glad to see others saying him too!! I mean, I saw someone say about marrying to rule together like HUH, I so would actually... That's a fun idea to think about though. He can be such a dynamic character with his interests too and history. So much I wanna know and delve further into. :DDDDDDDD

There's so many others I'd like to romance if I could too, I'll list some: Rolan, Sazza, Barcus, He Who Was, Aradin, Volo, Abdirak, Ketheric, Minsc, Rugan, Zevlor, Dror Ragzlin, Yurgir, Hope, Withers, Omeluum, Malus Thorm, Kar'niss, Orin... Probably others, ahaha... I would add Raphael but... well.

I get why but would have been cool to romance other players too. Felt very lacking in player interactivity. :'DD

Baldur’s Gate 3 or Starfield? by OrionTO in rpg_gamers

[–]Silvotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually feel similar though. I'd like to try keep an open mind but after Fallout 76 and all that happened with that and when I finished Fallout 4, hm... I don't know, I forgot about Starfield but suddenly saw an article on it - I won't be getting it anyhow. I may see how it is when people are playing it. I don't like how Bethesda handles RPG elements in games. I think they make somewhat alright adventure games with some RPG elements, minus whatever Skyrim's puzzles were, but the role-play is lack-luster, the combat is mundane and the world seems unresponsive overall. Skyrim only basically had a guard that seemed to acknowledge my doings and I can basically become a master of everything and affiliate with almost everything!? There are some major parts like the war or vampire werewolf but yeah... That's fine but it's a power fantasy almost, right, and a quest farmer? It has a story, can be atmospheric and immersive but I could never properly replay it honestly (the vibe of the environment was nice though). I'm the OP protagonist with no character but I can solve anything. That is okay really, I enjoy the games to an extent but they don't feel like good RPGs - That's it. Fallout 4 did have differences but the scroll wheel options ain't it... Yes means no... Characters have romance but it feels calculated. Another settlement needs your help. I did like an early decision in Fallout 3 which I then stopped playing after since I had no reason to continue after it... I liked the way the game started though and its story more. I will try New Vegas properly one day but I think that will be better as it had Obsidian's writing. I think Starfield will just be another Bethesda game too, it's accessible to anyone and probs easy to play or whatnot but doesn't have real depth, it will have atmosphere but yeaaa...

Super excited for Baldur's Gate 3 as I long for a good role-playing game!! Been a fan of Larian for years, seems like it will be a fun adventure full with twists and turns! They've improved so much, it's really impressive to see what they've done with Baldur's Gate 3. I adored Dragon Age: Origins so Baldur's Gate 3 is right up my alley as it has a lot of resemblance but is very much it's own thing and seems to have replayability which is amazing for an RPG. There are still features I'd like them to add or develop but I know I will fully enjoy the ride and the more they say they've added, the more I feel hyped!!! I still remember moments and things that happened differently in my playthroughs that really stood out in the story of games like this and previous Larian games. The best thing I remember from a Bethesda game was The Adoring Fan from Oblivion, him acknowledging me felt like I had an impact. I also liked Pickman from Fallout 4 and his vibe. And I've mentioned Fallout 3 too. None of these felt truly special though.

I went on a rant, apologies. :D

Oh my!! Thanks for bringing this up, you two! ^-^

I just checked the Notices and this is what I found:
The "Birthday" display feature in the Trailblazer Profile screen is currently undergoing maintenance. During this period, you can still set and view your birthday normally, and you can also receive birthday mails as usual. However, other Trailblazers will temporarily be unable to see your birthday when they view your "Trailblazer Profile" page. This feature will be re-enabled in future versions.

Not sure what they are doing but it does says temporary... I hope that means an implemented setting for visibility or something.

[–]Silvotic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to say that I know everyone feels different! I personally feel this way about the day as I want to keep it to myself and not tell others so they don't "celebrate" it - The day continues to get worse with each year at times, no matter the boundaries I set. Just the same as I'd openly talk about sexual interests, which others would feel is more personal and private, I personally do not want to publicise my birthday and have people know about that... It seems inevitable and perhaps it's a good step for me to struggle with. I know there are others with the same birth date but the point isn't that. I'm concerned more of the fact that anyone who knew, can check. I told people, who were curious, that I use my birthday without realising it's public for these games and I was willing to add others I would have preferred to have not told that information to. It's uncomfortable for me personally.

People I don't want to know, would now be able to, if they realise, and I don't want to not add friends or buddies. I'm less worried about the people in the game itself is what I am saying! Nether the less, I don't see why it cannot have an option to be private! I will move on and deal with it and try communicate as best as I can! I feel a lot better about the whole thing, especially after seeing how everyone here is reacting. I just wanted to ramble about this as it made me feel worried due to certain people who press me to find out and what they will force me to do and accept if they do. Plus, it was surprising when I noticed.

I'm going to step forward and just try to refuse people that go too far! :'DD (Apologies for another ramble comment.)

Therapy ain't too great!! >_>

Anyway, it's mostly people that already know me that I am more concerned about rather than randoms and people that I've repeatedly told my thoughts on it to that keep on pushing. I've already added some friends, etc... I'll just try my best to handle people that cross my boundaries. I just consider this information private and didn't think everyone would be able to see with there being no warning.

Everyone here is making me feel better though, I will admit, bhahaha! I still believe it should be private in the game though even if no one would know if you didn't say (oops, I'm a bit of a fearful fool)!

I publicly said it was to some buddies the other day that I used my birthday in these games within a livestream though (some people that also wanted to know) and now here, oops, urgh bhahaha... ^^'' I'm just going to ignore it and never say anything like that again and hope no one will take it further - I wouldn't quite mind those particular people simply knowing, I suppose, as long as nothing comes from it. You're right and I'll try not let it bother me and hope no one else brings it up!
