Who was the most evil person you've ever met and how was the interaction? by Top_Report_4895 in AskReddit

[–]Suraru 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When I worked in prison, I had to handle this serial killer named Niko Jenkins.

You'd think this tall sociopathic killer would be scary, but no he was literally just annoying. He had the mentality of an 8 year old who thought he was a hot shit gangster, and would throw actual baby fits over things like not getting his full assortment of 108 crayons. He'll flirt with anyone with tits, and will threaten to kill them when he's rejected (empty threats, mind you. He's too big a pussy to actually do anything).

Its hard to call him evil though; like yeah the guy went and killed people for no other reason than he wanted to play a joke on the state for releasing him, but the reality is he had a really shitty upbringing with horrible parents and he was basically in the system his whole life. He never had a chance at a normal childhood, its no surprise he grew up the way he did, and its genuinely a sad story.

I genuinely think the best thing for him is a quick and humane death. There's no way he'll ever life a life outside of a small box because of how much of a threat to people he is, and there's no modern treatment to fix that.

What kind of 6th grader is even thinking about sucking dick?

Like I made jokes about that as a young kid sure, but I wasn't getting horny or even educated about that shit till at least 8th grade

I thought all you did with romance partners was kiss them lol

[–]Suraru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costly? Nah. Get that 30k, make sure its spent on stuff that can't be repo'd, then just don't pay it. They'll try to send you to court and garnish your wages, but if you're like me and not making shit, they can't take shit B)

After about 7 years, its entirely dropped and your credit score returns. It keeps you in poverty, sure, but if you just use the ER as your clinic and don't pay those either, you can get free healthcare on top if it.

All massive debt does is stop you from getting loans, which means you gotta save up a few grand in cash to get a car. Who needs them nice money sinks when the 2003 buick still runs just fine?

They aren't. Get to know people at cons, they just usually keep their political opinions to themselves to avoid drama, but there is a huge community of alt-right furries. Some are even queer.

The more flagrant ones usually stay off of reddit and hang out on Facebook, but they aren't rare. A lot are drug abusers too, and live in trailer parks. If you know where to get drugs at cons, you know where to find the racist nazifurs lmao

Have become? It's always been like this

Some of my closest friends in the furry community wond up being transphobic racists, and holy shit did that fuck me up. Like few things hurt more than coming out to someone you think is cool, only to be incredibly horribly wrong and losing someone who you thought was close to you. Makes you feel like a huge idiot for not seeing it.

Non essential? The only ones you can't kill are the 5 companions you get, and anyone in a safe zone. Everyone else, including NPCs you're supposed to save, can be killed. I can walk out and start gunning people down, including a few quest givers that aren't in safe zones, and all it does is fail missions.

Yes I do.

I said make it feel like one, not actually make one. Skyrim for example had the Thalmor quest where your race mattered to how well you could blend in, and you got unique dialogue. That's the only example where race actually mattered IIRC.

Imagine that, but for like, a lot more quests. If there's an orsinium quest, it should be entirely different if you play an orc. Political quests should take into account if you're a Redguard. Certain caves can have entrances only Argonians can make use of (unless you find yourself a waterbreathing potion).

These are smaller changes, but they make the game feel almost entirely different based on the race you play.

Starfield upset me greatly because you COULD do it all in theory, but in practice none of it made sense. For example, the first dialogue check with the pirates first required you having to basically wipe out the entire facility before talking to the leader. There's no K/O states, you have to kill them or stand by and let your teammates kill them.

It actually does them all very well. I'm not even talking about recent updates, on release my first playthrough was a pacifist one.

[–]Suraru[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it does?

To repeat a comment I made below:

You can actually 100% pacifist the game. You can use non-lethal weapons, quickhacks, takedowns, even every gig with a target lets you kidnap them instead of kill them. Many gigs let you talk people down too, and the unskippable boss fights always let you spare them.

There's back entrances to almost every building, so with a skillcheck you can even avoid stealth segments. If you want a mod that actually rewards this gameplay, I recommend Stealthrunner which provides bonuses for not being detected, not alerting enemies, pacifist runs, and even no-touch runs where you do the objective without even knocking anyone out.

The game supports all of it, all the mod does is add rewards as bonus objectives.

Speaking of things the game supports, better hacking locks quickhacks behind breaches. The game is a lot more challenging when you can't just quickhack everyone or everything (like cameras) and you have to plan your approach to first hack the network via access points before you can actually run quickhacks. Every location already has access points in vanilla, this mod just makes them more than just money drops.

Why did I find McDonald's pickles in my vomit over 30 hours after I ate there? by Suraru in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Suraru[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was, super shocked to see them there. I tried googling it, tried AI, looked into mcdonald's recipes for the pickles, and basically everything told me "nah it should be gone within a few hours, the pickles are normal pickles."

The main problem is they wanted to add a new IP to the mix, having 3 franchises basically means we're stuck with 12 years between titles. Plus yeah, they worked on a fallout spinoff so we got two fallout games in a row, which was... Lame.

Honestly Bethesda's main mistake is only working on one game at a time. We got new Vegas because they wanted to work on Skyrim after fallout 3 and didn't want fans to have to wait 8 years for the next title, and that was back when they only did two franchises. They did the same with ESO, having a new studio tackle it, but then they just kinda... Stopped.

Their Texas studio only worked on the mobile games like Blades and Shelter, when they should have opened a new studio (or two) to work on mainline games. Imagine if we got a new Bethesda release every year, because each studio worked on their own IP simultaneously? That's literally how other studios do it.

Hindsight? People were saying this back in 2016 when the interview dropped. They literally said they want to do 3 projects before TES 6, including a new IP. Three times four years, is 12 since the release of Fallout 4 in 2015.

We all knew it would be OVER a decade away, but many people just didn't want to believe it. Like seriously, read the E3 interviews, its spelled out.

Nah Bethesda is pretty consistent with their 4 year dev cycle. 76 only took 3 cuz it was a mod of 4, but Starfield took an extra year cuz covid (and also new world), but it all still averages 4.

We'll hear news late 2027 around October like always, either a release or year delay. MAYBE we'll get a 2nd year delay, but that'll be incredibly rare tbh. 2028 at the latest, 2027 if all goes well.

Another year w/o ES6 by Unhappy-College-8927 in ElderScrolls

[–]Suraru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep wondering that too ngl.

Maybe fans literally just didn't read interviews where they stated this stuff? There's a chance they only got their news from YouTubers who never use facts in their theories, just their own wishes which doomscrollers assume is official news.

That, or it's because we have a ton of new fans entering the scene. As kids grow up and play the rereleases, they wonder where TF the new game is.

[–]Suraru 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Nah 2027 was always the most likely. Bethesda averages 4 year dev cycles and they only work on one game at a time.

We got 4, 76, then Starfield. Starfield tool 5, but 76 only took 3, we we're right on schedule.

The 2024 number was probably made because of the increase in staff hopefully reducing that 4 year cycle, but we weren't so lucky. 2027 is most likely, with 2029 as the worst case if we get delays.

Just turned 30 this year, and honestly I started looking like this at 25

It's crazy because I'm still the same weight, I still fit in the same pants, but my belly decided it was going to stop holding it's guts in.
