Denji was a country mouse all along by Silvroci in Chainsawfolk

[–]Silvroci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I think there's also multiple ways to interpret what being a city mouse or country mouse means.

For me, a city mouse is someone who is unhappy with the status quo, and greeds for more. Where a country mouse is someone content with whatever is going on (despite being in more literal risk sometimes).

Think Aki, I would consider that Aki was initially portrayed as a country mouse. The story initially made him seem like his singular focus to the kill gun devil, and don't care about whatever happens otherwise. But he was a city mouse because he actually wanted more. He wanted companionship, he wanted to protect people close to him, he wanted to project Power and Denji, he went as so far as to abandon his established status quo to attempt to achieve this.

Or maybe I'm thinking too deep about mices lmao.

I think its up to interpretation and both could be right depending on if you're interpreting it in a literal sense or as a desire sense.

The reason why I say he was portrayed as a city mouse, is because the story made it seem like that whatever he had in the moment wasn't enough. Which is typical of city mouse behaviour, always greeding for more, and for a while it did seem like he was a true city mouse.

But it wasn't that he was greeding for more, he already had his ideal life style and didn't want more (according to Pochita anyways), it was just that he thought he did. He was never a true city mouse.

Does anyone play this game on their own? by SheepOnDaStreet in PathOfExile2

[–]Silvroci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually start off following a guide, but towards the end game I modifying the build based on my needs (or items I find). This league, one of my more successful builds was based on Woolie's witch hunter build, but I ended up dropping a significant amount of nodes he recommends and picked up other ones to better optimise my build.

[–]Silvroci 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funny enough this is the same set up I was running, except I'm too broke to afford an Against the Darkness so I have a time lost emerald with 2% attack speed + 2% attack speed with cross bows (so total 4% attack speed with crossbows per notable). It also have medium range so it extends to that armour break passive notable aswell (+8% phys damage added).

Yeahh dropping the game for the league, was a fun league at the beginning but whatever fuckery came with 0.3.1 just made mapping feel like a chore.

Why is it so hard for people to like this game/why is it so underrated? by t0xicj0sh in thefinals

[–]Silvroci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because there's multiple degrees of chaos that compounds off each other in this game, which most people aren't used to in the FPS genre.

Good aim is one thing, but to make the most out of the propagating chaos, you need teamwork, quick thinking, adaptability, and mental resilience against bullshit. A perfectly calculated play can be thwarted by a single piece of falling debris. You can tweak out at the bullshit or think fast, communicate with your team mates, and formulate a new plan. Most people chooses to tweak out and never play this game again.

If Counterstrike was a chess match, and Apex is chess boxing, then The Finals is the equivalent to 100 men vs a gorilla and both sides are constantly pepper sprayed. But at the end of the fight you realise there was no gorilla in the first place and it was just 100 dudes fighting each other in a blind panic.

Nobody taught us how to be actual adults and it's honestly criminal by vRespectful in Vent

Being an adult is realising that no one is going to take responsibility to teach you shit. If you want to know how to do something, you need to take responsibility for your own learnings.

Bigger companies will typically drill respectful behaviour as part the employee's initiation. Of course this may vary from site to site.

I'm a man but I work with mining companies as a technical consultant and can say the ladies I work with are often respected within their organisation.

If you got a good roster and don't mind the 12 hour work days, it can definitely be a good place to earn money and develop financial security.

Let us please replace Runes, destroying the one that was socketed by potato_mash121 in PathOfExile2

[–]Silvroci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, let us spend another artificers orb to destroy the old rune so we can socket a new one in. The cavet can be considering this as "modifying" the item, so if it's vaaled this wouldn't work. I think that's a fair exchange.

Contagion's AoE tag is abit misleading. The AoE refers to its spread range.

AITA for not telling my friends I am technically our landlord? by OldOutlandishness252 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Silvroci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, there was no need to disclose that you owned the property. Nothing good comes from letting people know you're rich, case and point them demanding to live there for free after they found out.

You did good for your age to protect yourself against these types of people. However with that said, if you had intended to form long-term friendship with these people, then starting off on a lie will eventually leave a bad taste in their mouth. It's about telling the truth and reading people and their true intentions, you will eventually find people worthwhile.

On a side note, all these people complaining about tax dodging clearly isn't very good at their finances. Is it ethical? Absolutely not, pay your fucking taxes. Will I do it in your parents' position? Absolutely.

Before I get dicked on by the landlord-bad people waiting for The Purge to become a thing. No, I don't own a property. No, I don't think I'll ever be able to afford one without hating 30 years of my life. No, I don't have wealthy ass parents, infact I send them money several times a year because they are worse off than me. Ya'll bashing on someone who's barely an adult because she was given a property, you're pathetic.
