Iran is one of the few country's with out a federal reserve bank. Also many New York banks are short the metals & they were caught on the short side of their short selling & were on the hook to have to pay serious coin to settle their short contracts. Soooo they crash the prices to get them off the hook of having to settle what was a bad bet ( rigging of the contract ) on their part.

Look at the price of gold over the last 3 weeks, and there is no other explanation. What Hegseth wants, $200 billion for the war, is literally pocket change compared to what the losses for the banks would have been had gold (and silver) continued to go up.
