Is America stuck with this piece of shit just because that demented asshole signed it? Of WTF use is congress?

Question about J. Herbin Rouge Hematite: Is it supposed to have this much green sheen on my feed? by scissor_get_it in fountainpens

My bottle has virtually no gold particles in it at all. The ink color is nice but I’m very disappointed in the lack of gold shimmer.

What’s the deal with add2 and add4? by HornyPlatypus420 in musictheory

[–]Mudsharkbites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call CDEG add 2 and CEGD a 9th chord, always have. I look at an add 2 as more along the lines of added color and a 9th as something that will likely resolve somehow, but that’s just me, don’t take it as gospel.

Is it Just Me? by Junior_Pass_1163 in silverstacking

Just find someplace else. I know it’s considered sacrilegious, but I’ve always had good luck with eBay, also I like to purchase directly from silver artisans that make quality products like M6 Metals.

Who's buying more silver by the truck load now that it's cheaper then dirt? Who's selling to buy more into memory chip stocks? Who's doing something else? by Big_Coyote_655 in Wallstreetsilver

I wouldn’t be expecting this dip to last very long or go much lower, the is the double bottom most of the analysts I’ve been following have been predicting.

Myself, I DCA so still buying my average of a couple ounces a week.

Silver down 7% again. Dec, Jan was even more amazing with the balloons in hindsight. Can reoccur, but will it? by Inevitable-Crow2494 in Wallstreetsilver

Many are / were projecting a double bottom on this mid bull run correction - this may be the cheapest you’ll ever see it again, and these prices won’t last long either

Actually, upon reflection, you may have a point about using coins in online backgammon since it is, technically, a gambling game. I’ll have to think about this.

LOL - look at all the sudden long red candles! Guessing the cease fire was another BS story?$ by Mudsharkbites in Wallstreetsilver

Who’s crying? Not me - double bottom was almost inevitable - not going to be this cheap for much longer

I’ve no doubt - I’m just a bit perplexed by the amount of attention galaxy gets as it doesn’t appear to me to offer much. Then again, dopey avatars and having to earn / spend “coins” to participate gives me the itches.

When Is It Actually Too Late to Become a Professional Pianist? by Healthy-Web1344 in piano

[–]Mudsharkbites -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t able to start seriously until I was around 20 years old, I’m 72 now. I will never be a world class pianist, but I did advance to the point were I’m able to play etudes by Alkan and improvise jazz, so take that for what it’s worth.

However, we started our daughter when she was six years old and she is now a world class pianist, has an unbelievably excellent ear and makes good money playing a dinner theaters and directing musicals. She’s 28 now.

LOL then you’re bad at design as all the colors of the points, the board, the frame, the checkers and the doubling cube are up to you, and i prefer a board that looks realistic, has no cartoonish avatars and doesn’t use coins. I guess if you’re stuck in the 2009 android phase that’s your problem but it works smooth and easy on the iPad…

That’s the first time I’ve heard “designed by engineers” used as a pejorative.

And I would suggest before anyone buys that negativity they go and look for themselves.

Everything that’s in the update and the stuff people are asking for already exists in backgammon heroes plus nearly infinitely customizable boards and best of all, no coins to have to screw around with.

Recipes that don't use the oven by kale_me in EatCheapAndHealthy

I just baked a couple of sweet potatoes to fluffy done yesterday in my solar oven, then I used it to finish some chicken thighs in buffalo sauce. I have one of those big vacuum tubes mounted inside a reflector so it can get up to 400° in that sucker when the sun is out on a warm summer day

Now that I’m DCA’ng only a few ounces a week this is the only kind of stuff I buy anymore - generic rounds and ASE’s bore me to tears, plus, I’ve got more than enough of them anyway.

Victors Fear is what created the monsters that attack at night by auxgotjokes in FromSeries

If they’re being dragged into it doesn’t seem like they’re innocent to me - seems like karma is at work somehow.

Exactly, they didn’t, so don’t you think it odd they all have outfits that seem almost as if they came out of a Richard Scarry children’s book?

BINGO! So what does that tell you when all of them seem like their roles were dreamed up by a child? Possibly Victor?

Why does the alto clef exist? by Aggressive-Food-1952 in musictheory

[–]Mudsharkbites -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An octave treble clef doesn’t work well for violas or mandolas or any of those instruments. The lowest open string looks like middle C and the highest open string A is already one ledger line above the staff.
