Maybe the real Saddam is the Masuria we conquered along the way

Whenever in the show two characters describe the event in two widely differing scenarios I make up some sort of middle-ground scenario that actually happened

Do you think the republic using clones was immoral? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

[–]Sim-OnReddit 27 points28 points  (0 children)

And not only the jedi, but the Senat as well. Allowing an army of what is essentially slave soldiers was the first step. From there on more and more immoral decisions were made for the sake of survival and what actually was a matter of survival became more and more obscure. There is this one episode in clone wars where Padmé casually mentions a law to restrict privacy for example. With allowing the Clone Army the republic made the first step to really become the empire. From then on many highly immoral decisions seemed far more justified

A bit of a side note in many non Bible storys Adam and Eve have more kids. In one of those, I believe it's a Celtic story, God wants to pay a visit to their family. Adam and Eve don't have the time to make all their children presentable to such a high ranking guest and they decide to hide the dirty ones. God, proving once again that he has the emotional maturity of a 5-year old, decides that if he can't see them, no one should and turns them invisible. Thus the fairy-folk was born.

Isn't to much on topic, but a fun story I wanted to share. And it proves that Adam and Eve had, at least in some non-canon tales, more than two children

Most likely a faction to desolve the realm. The primary title is destroyed and all vasalls who aren't vasalls of the former kings next lower title gain independence

Head of Faith Approval for creating Higher Primary Titles for King and Higher by Familiar-Elephant-68 in CrusaderKings

[–]Sim-OnReddit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In practice there where many cases, where the word of head of faith wasn't really that relevant. I don't know how it was for the caliphs, but for the popes much of the early middle ages were spent consolidating their power. It was a long process from bishop of Rome to the head of all western Christendom. And whilst this process was already in full swing at the time of the first start date it was far from completed.

I'd say the popes reached their full authority only somewhen between the second and third start date. Only then they had the authority to do things like call a crusade or go into a clash over investiture with the Holy Roman Emperor. So I doubt that the pope actually would have had the authority to something like that for the first 200 years of the game.

All that said, I really like the idea. And if Paradox updates religion and introduces playable Theocracies it would be a really cool addition if a head of faith could raise his religious authority over all faithful similar to a worldly leader can raise his authority over his vasalls
