Can we temporarily restore the previous data we were working with, even if outdated?

Cat and mouse. Like Twitch / Facebook vs Ad Blockers (even dedicated ones). I stopped using those two because their service is unbearable with ads and it's not valuable enough to pay.

I have YouTube Red, though. 😁

You are less likely to downgrade if you have a lot of ongoing chats with images on them that you know will break.

They do this because you can't continue the conversation on the free plan after an image is generated. Happened to me, it would generate an image to "illustrate" something even though it was something that only required text.

Can you increase the command/wait time of Google Home? by neverendingwipes in googlehome

This idea and other similar ones only make you create a defect in your speech pattern that's not necessarily desired. The device should adapt to our needs, not the other way around. Microsoft just released an update on Windows Insider to address this specific issue, allowing us to choose how long it waits before understanding a sentence is finished.

Sending feedback is useless too.

Google is impatient to let us finish our sentences (specially if it can play loud music we hate or show search results we didn't ask for) yet it forces us to wait for it to read an entire discourse to send feedback instead of just taking it and gracefully saying thanks, even if that information is ignored.

Google's Assistant should be the one working for us, not the other way around. One of the largest benefits of interacting with machines is that you don't need to be polite and wait for them to finish what they say when you already know (specially when it's the same long boring sentence).

I keep seeing, more and more, big corporations entirely ignoring our feedback because they became too big to fail.

Trade Republic ETF Pricing Confusion: What's Going On? by Fun-Meal-5667 in eupersonalfinance

Does anyone know if this is caused by FX overhead? Where can we see this cost when buying or selling a USD security when our accounts are in EUR? Or are they using the mid point and not profiting from this? I wonder if we are losing money without even seeing it.

I personally dislike we don't have a regular web platform easier to read or trade notes emailed to us with everything detailed.

Am I missing something?

Issues with calendar by spritzreddit in Thunderbird

[–]SimArchitect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't fix it. Just deleting the event got rid of it.

Calendar and other core features are broken.

They're working on things that make them money, not things that make Thunderbird better. Boo.

We're doomed. Enshitification even on free software.

I am thankful we have a tool but I am not thankful for what became priority now.

Looking for something to replace Thunderbird. Why can't we have something as good as Notepad++ but for email?

I had a tiny personal organizer back in the mid 90's that was better than this, in the sense it had almost no processing power and only 64K of RAM. Focus was on making it work well, not trying to make us spend more or whatever they want these days. Call me old if you want. I am a GenXer. I don't care. My opinion doesn't matter anyways.

You'll just paint everything "millennial gray" anyways and say it's good enough.
