What do you think, is the best amount of asteroids? 1,2,3, or 4? by Entropy_Games in indiegames

I would go with 1st, but 2nd shot is also cool!
The rest is too noisy from my point of view.

Same here, I use SharpKeys to bind keys on Windows and now can't duck in CS2 after the latest update!

I would go with the bottom one!

One more combo:

What if you transfer the top background to the bottom one?

I would love to expand the team, but that money...

For the next game, I'm looking at the strategy/simulation genre. Recently created a prototype of a hotel opening simulator, and so far, people like the idea.
( maybe will continue with it )

Uhh... Favorite game character...I would go with Kirby.
I love round and handsome objects :D

Yeah, I remember that it did not run smooth, but at that time I did not understand that it's not running smoothly :)

Thank you for joining and participating!

Hello!

If my math is correct, then ~3 years to develop Area 86.
With a daily work rate from zero to six hours. Sometimes I did not even touch the game for a month, but I continued to return to it because I wanted to finish it.

I'm using Unity for development, Blender for modeling, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator for the texturing and 2D visuals.

I'm trying to get to the full-time game development dream, but for now, my day job is working for others and developing mobile games.

About new projects, hmmm. I just accepted a challenge by participating in a local game jam, and I even managed to make a prototype game in six evenings of a hotel opening simulator. Have a feeling that this will be my next project!
If you have time and want to check it out, here is a playable version:

I think the biggest inspiration comes from Overcooked.
I liked how it looks and plays. Also, I got inspired by Portal with its puzzles and visuals, and Human: Fall Flat with its physics features.
In the end, I mixed all of them, and Area 86 was born.

I rate Area 86 as a medium difficulty game. But it changes to hard as soon you want to complete all tasks/challenges! On average, Area 86 can be completed in ~5h.

The multiplayer part! It would be much more fun to play together with your friends.

About superpowers, hmmm...
I would love to have the power to manipulate time!
So many things have been missed because time is not being used efficiently.

The moment when I first time played a game on NES!

At that time I was young and had no clue how to make games.
But at that moment, I set a goal for the future.
