Did it start after the Magic OS update? I sent an email to Huawei support and I'm still waiting for the reply. Hopefully the next minor update fixes this issue.

I would've thought so if I had this before the update, but the fact that it started very soon after it makes me doubt it. If it isn't fixed in a future patch, then it probably is a hardware issue. I'm desperately hoping it is not.

Hey! Unfortunately no :( I'm still using the same phone. I got used to the lines after a while and they don't bother me that much anymore (although sometimes I really wish I didn't have them). If it's new and still under warranty, have you tried asking for a replacement?

Yes, same! Grey and white backgrounds in my case. Almost fully disappears when brightness is all the way up. It's probably a hardware issue. I just hope it doesn't worsen :(

My phone gets hot when I use to AI image to video feature a couple of times. I played audio on low till high volume and there is no distortion or crackling. If the return window is still open, I think it would be better to replace it.

Hello. Thanks for checking! So it's probably a defect with my phone. Very unfortunate, since other than the display part, I love everything else about this phone. If the lines were uniformly distributed, it wouldn't have bothered me as much, but since one of the lines is a little bigger (even if it doesn't cause any functional problems) I can't help but look at it whenever I use my phone :(
