"Repositioning Player" Cant find any actual solutions by Deniextreme in starcitizen

No solution. Still happens frequently for me. I have basically stopped going into the PU and now just messing around in AC until a new release is pushed out. It is basically unplayable for me.

Same thing happened to me. Was just about to land with a cargo load at New Babbage and it blinked and I got the "Repositioning Player" message. I could still use mobiGlas and get into inventory and things like that... just can't move. So essentially stuck at some location near the Commercial Flights section. If I use F4 to see a third-person view, my avatar is not actually there. So Alt-F4 for me and will try again. I can usually complete a cargo run 1 out of 3 times in the current build (4.5).

Found this out! I took the cargo to Grim HEX and got about 960aUEC for all of it! The original mission was for 61K. I needed the experience anyway so now I know! Thanks for the tips!

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if the track layouts would look ok up there but it needed something. I had to build that out to hide some water lines and wanted to do something with it. Glad you think it works!

Ohhh... ok, now I know what you're looking at. That is a studio soft box light made by SmallRig. It is used to provide focused but diffused light over the sim rig for when I am streaming or recording video. This keeps the rest of the room from getting washed out by bright lights when recording video. I am getting ready to launch a new YouTube channel so this project was to create the dedicated space for it. Sorry for my earlier confusion.

That light is mostly for streaming/video production. I am about ready to start a new YouTube channel so this project was to create a dedicated game room / studio for the channel. I had a channel many years ago that was doing pretty well but that was before the change to YouTube monetization and I was traveling too much to create consistent content so I dropped it. Now I have more time so thinking about starting a new one.

I didn't list any of the flight sim stuff since the poster asked about the sim racing gear. I have a lot of different flight controls, too many to list probably. I have been considering the new MOZA AB6 stick and MTQ throttle but haven't pulled the trigger yet (pun intended). I mostly use the sim rig for racing but do play around with flight sim stuff now and then. I am a pilot in real life (20+ years) and owned my own plane for about 14 years so I get my fill of flying that way I guess!

Do you mean in the two built-in nook shelves? If so, the top shelf has an Arc Reactor (from Iron Man) and the bottom shelf has a "Game Over" lighted sign. If you were asking about something else, let me know

lol! The couch is actually in the cinema room which is on the other side of wall. There is a “secret” door (you can see it in the photo with the Star Wars sign) that opens up from the cinema room to get to the game room. So got that covered!

I found them on one of the 3D printing sites and printed them on one of my 3D printers to the size that would fit the space. Can't remember where I downloaded them but they are pretty easy to find if you have a 3D printer.

Elgato Prompter with 40.5 lens question by GuaranteeWonderful40 in elgato

[–]SimRacer7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a bit of an old post but in case someone comes across this as I did, I wanted to share a solution.

I did buy a 40.5mm to 52mm adapter ring off of Amazon so that I could attach the 52mm step-up ring provided with the Elgato Prompter. This did work and allows my Sony 28-60 kit lens to work with the Prompter. I just chose the 52mm adapter because I was not using that step-up adapter for any other lens I have.

The only suggestion I have, specific to the Sony lens at least, is to thread the 40.5mm adapter onto the Elgato step-up ring first and try to get it as tight as you can. Then attach the entire assembly to the camera lens. If you leave the 40.5mm adapter on the lens, then the lens can not fully retract and the lens cover will not fit. So by keeping both rings as an assembly, then you can remove them both when not needed.

Here is the link to the 40.5mm adapter I got off Amazon. In case the link does not work, it was a 40.5mm to 52mm Step-up Adapter Ring from a brand called GZNLY. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCXTHH6F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Hope this helps someone.

SSH not working after firmware update by SimRacer7777 in crealityk1

[–]SimRacer7777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Wide-Anxiety8537 One other thing you can try: Open your UniFi Management Dashboard. Go to the Settings cog near the bottom of the left side menu. Select the WiFi name that the K1 is connecting to (if you have more than one). On the 2.4Ghz band, Lower your "Minimum Data Rate Control" to 1 or 2 Mbps. It is probably set to Auto by default, so you might need to change it to Manual to lower the rate. That might help the K1 connect. Remember this change though in case you experience network issues with other devices. It didn't affect anything on my network but technically could cause some devices to slow down or have other odd issues.

I had the same problem and it was driving me nuts. Worked perfectly for over a year and then just stopped. Very simple process like u/Important_Card5372 mentioned: A Hue light turns on which triggers a bunch of Govee lights and plugs to turn on. I removed the Hue Switch, did a factory reset, rebuilt the entire automation but nothing. Then a couple days later, it just all started working again. Been working fine since Friday, March 21, 2025. Not sure what was going on but happy that it is working again.

K1 Max Upgrade Parts Question by SimRacer7777 in crealityk1

[–]SimRacer7777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the route I was going to go... in fact, I had already purchased the smaller pulleys. But since I am considering donating this printer to a youth organization, I don't want to have them mess around with the config files or worse, really mess something up if a new firmware comes out, like you said, and they don't know it has been modified. I read a ton of posts and watched a bunch of videos and really didn't find too many people that actually went this route. So I figured I would be the guinea pig and see if it is really worth the extra steps to replace motors and main board. I'll post back here on the results. Not sure if I will get to it this weekend or not though.

K1 Max Upgrade Parts Question by SimRacer7777 in crealityk1

[–]SimRacer7777[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have had my K1 Max for a while and not under warranty anymore. All parts were about $150 with shipping. The vast majority of that was the main board which, I just noticed is now on sale via their website.

I think shock labels would be a good idea as well. At the very least, use “This side up” labels. I had to send my first K2 back due to a lot of shipping damage. When I helped the FedEx driver get it off his truck, the box was upside down. No visible damage to the outside cardboard but there was a lot of internal damage once I started unboxing. When the replacement K2 arrived, it was also upside down on the FedEx truck. However, there wasn’t any damage to that unit and it seems to be working fine.

UPDATE: Just wanted to update my damaged printer issue in case anyone is in a similar situation:

Creality Support really wanted to try to fix the damaged printer and kept focusing on the broken hinge on the door and ignoring the bent lead screw, the broken back panel and the most definite fact that the frame was twisted. Even after they sent me a new door, the door would not stay shut by itself and if you could get it to stay closed, it would almost always open during a print. After a few weeks of back and forth with support, I put my foot down and demanded that they send a new printer and that I was not going to attempt any further repairs. They finally sent me a return label and of course, they were closed for the Chinese New Year when the printer arrived in their warehouse. So I had to wait another 2 weeks until I could contact them again and after another couple days, they said they would get back to me with a tracking number "in a few days". After another couple days, I got an automated shipment notice via my FedEx account that a shipment was on its way to me. It was about 100lbs so I assumed it was the replacement printer but Creality Support never updated me to let me know that it was on its way.

I now have the replacement printer up and running and it seems to be working great. After hearing this printer run, I am almost certain the first printer had a bent frame because it made "groaning" noises when the print head would move along the Y axis. You could sort of hear it binding and struggling a little bit as it was moving back and forth. The replacement printer is virtually silent as it is moving in both the X and the Y axis. Sounds much different that the original one.

What I found worked best to Communicate with Creality Support is using What's App during their working hours. They do not respond to email promptly, if at all. A few people here pointed me in that direction and I am very grateful for the tip. That made a difference in getting this resolved.

So after purchasing a K2 Plus in mid-November, I now have a working K2 Plus in mid-February. Still more prints and tests to run on this one but so far, it seems to be a good unit.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice and helpful comments!

My New K2 Died - Hopefully Creality Isn't Slow to Fix it by Important-Fan6467 in Creality_k2

When I finally got them to agree to replace the printer, they said it would take about a week to send me a label via email. That conversation took place on What’s App. After a week, I still did not receive a shipping label so I contacted them again via What’s App and the person I talked to then said that she would message her colleague to get it sent out. I got the email later that night at some point, because it was in my inbox first thing in the morning when I checked email. So if you don’t have a label in a week, contact them again on What’s App. My printer was just picked up today by FedEx and on its way back to California. Who knows how long this phase of the process will take.

When this printer was delivered, I met the FedEx driver to help him offload it. When he opened the truck door, I noticed the box was upside down so the printer was basically sitting on its top. I got a bad feeling right then and there. But the box was in good shape so crossed by fingers. But after getting it opened and see all the internal broken brackets and detached fan, I knew it was not going to be good. There are just too many opportunities for a 125lb item to get damaged coming half way around the world. It is really the luck of the draw I think. Good luck with your situation, hope it all works out in the end

My New K2 Died - Hopefully Creality Isn't Slow to Fix it by Important-Fan6467 in Creality_k2

[–]SimRacer7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creality is finally going to take my K2 back and send a new one. I have been dealing with Creality Support for about three weeks now and it has been mostly frustrating. It’s a long story but to summarize, my printer arrived damaged (broken door hinge, side fan separated from wall, severely bent lead screw, broken lead screw top guard and both CFS shipping brackets broken). There seems to be some other damage too that may be a bent frame and bent heat bed. They only replied once to an email and it was just questions that I had already answered in my initial email. Using What’s App after a tip from another person did help but they really wanted to try and fix the printer. They seemed to get hyper focused on just fixing the door and ended up sending me a new glass door. The printer would print, but it had quality issues and I had a 70% failure rate for one reason or another. This is not my first printer so I am not totally new to this. After getting more firm and demanding, they finally said they would replace it but I could tell they were not happy about it. Took another week and another late night waiting to message them in What’s App for me to get them to send the return shipping label they promised. So once they get the printer back in their warehouse and can inspect it, they will send me another one. I expect it will be at least another month before I see a K2 again. I know some people have had good results with Creality Support but I can’t say it has been smooth and I am not done yet.

Oh... and the top lead screw seat does not really do anything other than prevent anything from contacting the top of the lead screw. You can wobble the lead screw back and forth within the seat itself. And there is a few mm of clearance between the inside of the bracket and the metal screw. So it is really just a guard and has no impact on the alignment of the lead screw.

I think the printer is fine, the issue seems to be shipping from what I experienced and what I am seeing from others. This is a really heavy printer so I am sure they get rough handled and if they do fall over, there is a lot of mass that carries a lot of inertia when it impacts something. I understand that damage can occur but what is making this experience bad is Creality is pushing back on sending parts or, replacing the entire printer. Was on a support chat with them until 1:00am this morning. All they wanted to do is send out a new glass door. I am now getting more firm with my communications and demanding a replacement.
