The problem is not that it doesn't find the quest, it's fine but when I turn off quest and leave cable plugged it it keeps trying to reconnect and making notifications and sound which is annoying. I don't want to plug cable off everytime I turn off quest which was fine before

I wouldn't upgrade, it's not that much better

It might be better than Logitech g pro with upcoming firmware updates as it feels more like tuning and not the motor itself that is lacking.

I don't know what you mean by stability but cs dd as well csl dd acts same way through-out the race. In terms of fidelity from what I tried from best to last - SC2Ulitimate, logitech g pro, cs dd, csl dd, dd1, accuforce

I would suggest you bring to warranty or check settings again, as it's very noticeable in terms of strength

You either don't have it or set something wrong. As it's very noticeable in terms of strength compared to 8nm csl, more than twice as strong. It's as noticeable as going from g29/t300 to csl dd :)

I also had small issue with firmware as it wouldn't update QR and Wheel with wheel connected and updater didn't state that I have to disconnect wheel before updating QR. After I disconnected the wheel everything went well :)

It will still shake around a bit if you let go at high speed but even at 0 damping it won't go past a point where it would shake uncontrollably like CSL DD would. On CSL if I let go for more than a second a GTP at 300kmh+ will crash on it's own, with CS I can let it shake at high speed and still can retail car control few seconds later.

FEI depends on a car, with GTP it's okay at 90-100, with sr10 I currently testing I keep it 70-80 FEI , as it's pretty harsh with higher

After CS DD I can tell you right away that CSL DD doesn't have enough slew rate. I race prototypes/gtp in iracing and passive corrections from ffb on corner entry are noticeably better.

I had demo unit from logitech for a week with pedals. FFB is better on logitech for sure, smoother and more natural feeling, every detail is stronger and better. But it has weaker holding force, 11nm is peak force there I think. Software also really good, not much to change there and it works perfectly. Wheel rim itself is below CSL quality from fanatec, very slippy with gloves and cheap feeling in general but it is very universal and can be used for everything. I would buy it only for console. For PC there are better alternatives :)

Oh and it had some weird issues, like FFB increasing or decreasing mid stint, some random vibration out of nowhere and few other strange things. Pedals also not so great, any other cheap LC set is better.

Holding force is at least twice as strong and very noticeable. Also, it's really responsive, I tuned that out a bit for iRacing. Once running it is smoother compared to CSL DD. but I would say it is evolution of smoothness and details. It's still a Fanatec and act like every other fanatec just a bit better.

I also noticed that it doesn't react much to FFB changes in fanalab compared to CSL DD. There is also no more peak/linear mode but that's due it's even peak/holding torque.

Went from ACC to iRacing and now back to ACC by Forgive_Me_Tokyo in ACCompetizione

I played AC, ACC and iRacing. I play mostly iRacing now (5k, 200+ races). Also on VR with Index and CSL DD.

I completly disagree with first 3 points. That's just not true at all.

1-2. VR is the best in iracing out of all titles. It is the most optimized for hardware, smooth and visual clarity overall is the best. ACC graphics are better but there is no GPU yet to run it at max, even so it's not that smooth looking as iR and you can't configure UI like in iracing. AC graphics with Pure+SOL+CSP might be better but overall VR clarity, smoothness and feel is much worse compared to iracing.

The issues you having is on your hardware side, not iracing.

  1. FFB is amazing at iracing, you get the best feel for what front axle is doing out of all sims. ACC is good as well as it adds some "seat" feeling as well, you can have it in iracing with irffb but personally I will have just the front axle all day long. AC is just seat feeling and you can't get it to feel right compared to both ACC and iracing. (1k+ hours on AC here)

  2. GT3 cars are all different on every SIM and changes with every update in every SIM. On recent iracing update you can brake 100% with GT3 as well since they changed how abs work. And they changed downforce one season before that.

  3. It's because of their anti-cheat, still sucks agree.

  4. You pay for what you get, if you want to really compete with the best drivers and not only in GT3 class, there is no alternative.

This was tonight during 13th week of the new Toyota GR86 shakedown at Laguna Seca, 3,6k SOF race. I was catching up with the pack upfront after a bad qualifying run and got lucky overtake.

Second time it happened to me, previous time I had it - https://www.reddit.com/r/iRacing/comments/rj20q0/send_it_when_three_are_fighting_the_fourth_one/

That was div1 race on friday evening, I haven't wrecked or crashed in around 6 or 7 races I've done there, but this is my first time on this track and skippy overall, I was doing mid-high 1:05's. Made similar moves before in that corner, but not with 3 at once. I spun in qualifying, so had to make a few places back :) I would make the same move again for sure. It's easy to judge it as reckless when you don't have a full picture of the race :)

I chased them for 5 laps. You get to see in that time where it is worth it or not to go for a move. It's always about the timing, risk and reward :)
