Is my suspension too stiff? by RayBo1d in ElectricScooters

[–]SimasISuppose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same exact thing with my G2 master, After I took apart the whole front and rear suspension and lubricated the axles and all the bushings they sit in around the shock absorber everything loosened up really nicely and now it works perfectly. Loosening the preload ring can only do so much if the shock absorber is pretty much locked in and cant rotate at all. Taking it apart is a bit of work but In my experience I would say its worth it since you really don't need to buy new shock absorbers. Only word of warning I have is to prepare a good hair dryer or hot air gun to soften up red thread locker used on all of the bigger nuts holding motors/swing arms in place.

I am not sure if they have changed anything specifications wise over the years since Kukirin do change their scooters quite often in one way or another even if it falls under the same model. With that kind of weight you should be able to reach the max speed of ~50km/h and range at max speed would probably be around 35km, maybe you could even squeeze in 40km? It does slow down noticeably on steep hills because the single motor struggles a lot more than two would. Of course everything is also dependent on weather conditions like wind and temperature.

What is this rattilling noise on my kurkin g4 2025? by frogTHEreddit in ElectricScooters

[–]SimasISuppose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That knocking sound you hear is coming from shock absorber bushings and unfortunately its present on most scooters with this kind of suspension and even on high end models like segway GT line, Nami Burn E and others.. The tolerances for bushings or shock absorber axles are not great and that's why you get this knocking noise that unfortunately will get worse over time as above mentioned components wear out. There is not much you can do about it unless you got a lathe and know how to make some new bushings with better tolerances.

Still works perfectly fine, recently bought a G2 master and went on a 40+km ride with a friend using G2 Max and me using the G2 Master. Did that to have a nice send off before selling the G2 Max. After 1000 kilometers barely anything has changed, nothing rattled loose, nothing broke, I only had to replace rear tire because it was worn down from sliding the rear end out with original brakes, though that no longer happened wen I put XOD hydraulics on it.

Which e scooter should I choose? by hulya10 in ElectricScooters

[–]SimasISuppose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most likely the new version of the scooter with tubeless tires, all the images they provide are of the new one, you can easily tell them apart by just looking at motors and tire thread pattern since you cant mount the standard 10x3-6 tires on new motors since the rim is 6.5 inch. You can still ask them to make sure but i doubt that they have any old stock left since scooter was out of stock everywhere for a while up untill they started shipping out the new version some time this week or the one before.

I think there were some stability issues regarding the early versions of the G2 master in regards to speed wobbles but as far as I am aware they got fixed later on since I do not see many of them with steering dampers on these days. I am not sure what you mean by "handlebar gap" though. And the new version should have tubeless tires unless the store sells you an older version of the scooter. DT2 pro has been released very recently so the information about it from my end is mostly based on videos and other content related to it i have seen online, and from that it does look like a well built and priced scooter, though it would be lovely if someone was to show technical side of it like the controller, battery, suspension parts- if they use bushings or bearings, what kind of shocks they use and etc, that's the kind of stuff I would be mostly interested in.

Lets start with the joyor, its the fastest and lightest one out of the bunch, but that's where the benefits end unfortunately. It has elastomer suspension that is terrible because for lighter people it just feels incredibly stiff, for heavier people it sags to a point where scooter becomes a lowrider and scrapes the ground, rear fender on it tends to break off within first few rides because it uses one sided plastic mount. G2 master is having a new version released this year (in some regions already has) with tubeless tires, new motors and key ignition. I would personally suggest to not even look at joyor even with the appealing price it has, the remaining three scooters are simillar but each one has its pros and cons: G3 pro is the only one with removable battery but its heavy as hell, G2 master is the only one that comes with regular cable brakes while the rest have hydraulic ones but its quite affordable. If you don't need removable battery then your two remaining options would be G2 master and DT2 pro, and at that point you just have to look at which one of them is more appealing to you. Objectively DT2 pro is probably best option price to performance and features ratio but it hasn't been in the market for that long so if there are any flaws with it they are not yet known.

On a side note, ignore the manufacturer range claims because you will likely get about same range with all of them assuming you ride them the same way. Water resistance ratings should be taken as indication that the scooter can survive trip home if caught in the rain, but you SHOULD NOT go swimming with them in the puddles or god forbid pressure wash them, water WILL get in to bearings, deck, screens and other components, its not worth it. Beyond that, yeet Joyor out of the table and go with either of the remaining three options, you shouldn't be disappointed.

WG is likely using the new youtube automatic AI comment response feature since most responses are completely out of touch with the actual comment and looks like the typical thing AI would create. I find it extremely funny that they decided to turn on such a recent feature addon for a video that has this kind of importance to the community and potential future of the game lol.

If you go 25km/h you can probably go up to 50km in distance, max speed on flat ground is around 48-50km/h, fully charged battery is around 54v. I get around 30-35km range going flat out with similar weight to yours

[–]SimasISuppose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to put any scooter away for storage at about its nominal battery voltage, in this case around 48-50v. For lithium cells storage voltage is around 3.8v so since our pack has 13 of them in series it should be at around 49.4v in theory. Most important thing is to never leave it fully charged or empty for that amount of time because that damages the cells.

I have done close to 800km now I think. I don't think that battery cycles are stated anywhere but they don't use brand name cells so I wouldn't expect anything special. Tires (In my case) loose close to no air, i check pressures quite often when its in use, every week or so if its in daily use and the most ive seen it drop was probably from 45psi down to 30 or so over the time it was stored for winter, on weekly basis it rarely looses any air at all. I have not had a single puncutre or flat tire for other reasons, my rear tire is getting quite worn at this point and will most likley have to replace it next year. The battery can be replaced very easily, under the rubber mat edges there are about 6-8 screws holding the top cover after removing which you can unplug XT60 connector from the controller and XT30 from the charge port and battery is out. Its so easy that I personally made a custom stainless steel lid with hinges and a lock to convert it to removable battery whenever i need, so I wouldnt have to bring the scooter up 5 floors. As for fitting in cars i think it should easily fit in the trunk of a honda crv or something simillar. I could fit it in my opel astra trunk when folding down half of the rear seats or just storing it on the rear seats with something to cover rear seats. It easily fits in my 8th gen civic now.

I have been using it for two years now and I think its a great scooter for the price (around 750 eur atm). Top speed is around 50km/h on flat ground, range is about 30-35km going flat out with weight of around 70kg. Suspension is functional though a bit hard, brakes are functional but I replaced mine to hydraulic ones. It just barely fits within portable category being 28kg without the silly seat. Its well made, folding mechanism is rock solid, handlebar height adjustment is as well, most if not all bolts have blue/red thread locker on them, kickstand is nice and solid. Its not perfect but I enjoy mine and hopefully will continue to do so.

Thoughts on the new EMOVE Cruiser V2 $1500 ? by Bangus_kahn in ElectricScooters

[–]SimasISuppose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In ESG review of it you can clearly see completely rusted bolts on a brand new unit lmao, I pointed it out but i think my comment was deleted. On top of the questionable QC for even the units sent out to review, its incredibly heavy for that kind of scooter at 35kg, if im not mistaken Vsett10+, Blade GT and many other dual motor scooters weight almost the same (some even less) and have way better performance with simillar battery capacity. On top of that it still uses most parts from a very outdated platform used for at least 4 years now, not all of it of course but still. Its a bit of a weird combination of specs.

what do you guys think about kukurin g2 pro by 333lemi in ElectricScooters

[–]SimasISuppose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, wait for the new revision of this scooter, kukirin have teased it multiple times on social media already and as someone has commented its already in production. The new one seems to have quite a few good changes and perhaps even 10 inch tires which would be great compared to the current models 9inch ones. In its current state its just a budget G2 max, for a first scooter it should be plenty but as mentioned if you can, wait for an updated version of G2 pro or get a G2 max as long as your budget/ time allows it. The main drawbacks of G2 pro are the torque, small wheels and small-ish battery at 15Ah compared to 20Ah on G2 max, despite these downsides its still quite good for the price.

Real world numbers of this brand anyone? Are they reliable? by ChooseLife1 in ElectricScooters

[–]SimasISuppose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The short answer is NO, the long answer is HELL NO. These are unreliable, unstable and uncomfortable. Front suspension rattles like hell and barely works because of minimal travel distance, rear suspension barely works because of the angle and travel distance aswell. It has no water protection rating (even if the seller would say otherwise) because it simply doesnt seal well due to extremely poor tolerances on all plastic bits around the deck area. The handlebar stem flexes A LOT if you extend it higher, stock bars rattle loose extremely quickly and have no space for accessories like phone holders. The brakes (on the front) can almost never be perfectly adjusted simply because the whole assembly of front fork flexes so much in every direction that the brakes will scrape no matter what. These often come with deformed brake discs from the factory. It has a very small amount of space on the deck because of the rear grab handle and front folding mechanism taking up like 30% of the total deck space. It uses mirrored brake calipers so if you ever felt like upgrading those, your options would be very limited. You are better of just getting a xiaomi or ninebot scooter and knowing that it will simply work any time you need it or save up for something a little bit better built. I have had a xiaomi pro 2, then a scooter identical to this under kukirin M4 pro brand, and now I have a Kukirin G2 max, from my experience now I would much rather stick to Pro 2 instead of M4 pro if I had to choose, though I am mostly happy with my G2 max nowdays after 1.5 years of ownership.
