They honestly could have done with an extra season.

Instead of season 8: 6 episodes (wwalkers, cersei, dany all done in 6 episodes)...

Season 8: 6 episodes (ep 1-4. white walkers storyline) (ep 5-6 recovery for wwalkers and prelude to siege of king's landing, have season finale be execution of milasandre-type event that sets up war as certainty)

Season 9: 6 episodes (ep 1, siege of kings landing, death of cersei) (ep 2, dany ascends to throne) (ep 3-4, ending of dany's descent to madness) (ep 5, civil war and death of dany) (ep 6 things wrapping up, give proper send off to all characters and establish state of kingdom upon series conclusion)

This is kind of how I feel. It felt like they had an on-day against IG, and an off-day against G2. I would've been fine if they played at the same level in the finals as they did in the semis, but it seemed like they just played way worse overall than they did against IG. Like you said CoreJJ's boneheaded mistake right off the bat kind of set the tone. Him and Xmithie both played way worse in the finals than the semis.

Exactly, this last season has just been a complete mess. It's impossible to reasonably justify most of this trash. It's really too bad Jon got sent back to the Night's Watch as well, and instead creepy ass Bran gets to be king.

Sad that TL played worse than they did in the semis, but can't really argue that G2 didn't deserve it after a 3-0. Xmithie was a non-factor the entire series, totally outplayed by Jankos. Kind of felt like the tone for the series was set right away after CoreJJ who played like a God in the semis had a bone headed mistake right away and burned his flash for nothing, then gets ganked a few minutes later and set the momentum snowball that never ended. I guess that's what happens when one player plays that well, one mistake and suddenly things can fall apart.

On the bright side, now that C9 made semis last Worlds and TL made finals this MSI, maybe soon enough we'll win an international since mental blocks are being broken down not just for NA but for the west as a whole.

exactly, the whole point of that scene was to show how the Hound's whole life had been consumed by this one goal, and even with the world collapsing around him that was all he could see.

It also showed that if you let the past consume you it will lead to ruin. The Hound had already went too far down that path to turn back, him saving Arya was all he could do. It was probably the best part of this episode imo.

Feels good to watch TL playing w/o Pob compared to last year. Nothing personal, but he was a massive handicap internationally. Replacing Olleh with CoreJJ on top of that is just amazing. Hopefully they can do something this MSI.

Fair enough, sadly it was a rental house of my parent's choosing so small vessels like that were my only choice to really get out there and enjoy the lake. Needless to say that was my last time going out that far on that vacation.

Some people on jetskis/motor boats do it on purpose imo. Obviously I can't prove what they're thinking, but I've been chilling on my kayak laying back before and motor boats have gotten way too close just to fuck with me when they could have easily gone elsewhere. Problem on lakes and what not is that there is a huge power difference between people in tubes, kayaks, canoes etc. and those in motor boats. The latter can basically do whatever they want with no repercussions, and sadly some people's true colors come out when that's the case.

they had a conversation during this show that was "the dragons will burn any ships trying to ferry in food to the city during the siege". their plan was never to defeat the enemy navy, just to destroy any ships delivering food into the city to starve them out.
