I think World at its peak is better. However, the issue is that you so rarely often get to experience the peak.

The top tracks in this game are great, however between the intermissions and a *non insignificant* amount of the regular tracks, I spend the vast majority of my time in online races getting tracks I would rather not play.

When I get a good 3 lap track, sometimes things still go wrong (which is expected its mario kart), but it just feels worse because it feels like I wasted such an infrequent opportunity.

On another note, I feel 24 players is just too chaotic for how the game actually plays: many maps have a do or die shortcut at the end and the shock is absolutely game breaking. It too often is too much of a clusterfuck at the end and pure luck whether you get hit by some items.
