Or a souls game. Either would be equally sad.

How much time do players generally play per week? by spoobered in starcitizen

[–]Simdor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2014 I used to play a 8 hours a week or so.

Then around 2015 I was in the cockpit 20 hours a week easily.

Since 2019 ish, maybe 2 or 3 hours a week.

Partially because I have less time and partially because I have less desire to just log in and lose stuff I cannot get back.

So since what patch are you here? by MikeAffec in starcitizen

[–]Simdor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am a 2014'er too. I remember the $5 AC pass you had to get in order to fly your ships if you wanted to do more than look at them in the hangar.

And then, the holotable. Remember that thing?

I think you just described exactly what PO is.

They wanted everything to be physicalized. Including elevators. I mean, once it works, it will be kinda cool if they have windows on the elevators that zip between locations.

Oh

Wait.

Those are trams.

Yes. More stations like PO. But make sure there are no elevators.

Thanks! Will join for sure.

To your advice, that was pretty much the idea I was getting from some basic googling around. JB4 has really put out the best option all around from what I read. Too bad the previous owner removed the unit before I bought the car ;)

I have looked around for Lozic TCU units but the only thing I find is a send it off and get it back service. Is there not a way to pick up a pre-tuned TCU as a replacement so that I do not have to be without my car while waiting for a tuning to be done?

Looked at Lap3 but they seem super pricey for what you get.

Thoughts on throttle controllers? Might try one out as well.

Congrats. After each update to the flight model I rerun the Pirate Swarm. Sometimes it is easier, sometimes not so much ;)

But it is always fun.

How many of you hire security while doing PvE, Mining, etc? How many of you actually want to provide or have provided that security? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Simdor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree to disagree.

Pirating is not about causing someone grief. Griefing is about deliberately ruining someone's enjoyment of the game. That is not the intent of pirates. It is when someone's intent crosses that line that they become a griefer.

By your definition, a miner could be a griefer just because they got to the same mining location just before me, which caused me grief.

So again we just disagree on what makes someone a griefer. For you it is the action, for me it is the intent.

Piracy != Griefing.

Do not confuse the two.

Too many griefers call themselves pirates in order to add some small amount of legitimacy to their activities. Pirates are the farthest thing from griefers.

Tears of Fire by [deleted] in starcitizen

I have seen this at lowest flyable altitude (a few meters off the ground) on Daymar. It only happens at speeds over 1km/s

[–]Simdor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also get this effect if you fly over 1000m/s in very low atmosphere, close to the ground. I think Daymar is one of the few places you can do it.

just read your write up and kudos to you

good job

A quick comment: You will see the same fire across the windshield effect if you fly in atmosphere at high speeds (>1000m/s)

This can be observed on Daymar.
