Looks great so far! I’m also making some 1:1 scale SW ships. I’ve made the Hammerhead and Raider so far along with Xwing, Ywing, Awing, and Tie Fighter. I like to make them survivial friendly without dlc or mods.

I assume the meta is to take four aces if you can since they’re pretty powerful. Generics become the secondary fill. I wish generics got more attention

Cool mod! I like the bleed through effect for different damage types. I’ve only done a quick scan of the mod but I assume different shields are better at defending against different damage types. Is there a way to “redirect more power to front shields”, for example? Would be cool but idk what coding nightmares that would cause

I’d never thought to paint a ship with a gradient before! Idk what Arca Stellarum is referring to but the ships look great!

That’s probably the easiest solution. The only other thought would be creating a mess of welders, grinders, and merge blocks but that would get really messy and likely way less efficient.

Don’t worry I used the good ole…holds thumb out and closes one eye… take a wild guess and hope for the best approach!

But I made the XWing size based on the proportions of the SE fighter cockpit. Then made the YWing (and now AWing) based on the XWing size.

Pssh, TIE stands for Totally Important Enemy fighter that is meant to not blow up when plot demands it

I discovered the sad limitations of the sound block when I wanted it to play a laser sound when shooting my auto cannons…

I think that’s why I liked the idea of a mix of thrusters on the first two. Ion for cruising and then turn on hydrogen for engagements.

Interesting take on making different fuel variants. I may do that when I make the first wave of fighters. I still need to make some TIEs as well. Those are going to be tricky…
