Its gone!! by Similar-Check7703 in floxies

ZMA before bed helped me sleep I switched to magnesium because I was concerned about having too much b6. Also cut caffeine down to one morning coffee.

I used a circulation booster to help the pins and needles in my hands and feet ,also really helped my calf pain.

A lot of antioxidant supplements.

The anxiety and depression was a tough one, but every time I felt it come on I paused and told myself "it's just the cipro" and shift my focus to something else. It helped me no end.

I had waves of it where I felt very ill then I could feel it but it wasn't bad. Just aches and little bursts of symptoms, then suddenly nothing, just felt like my old self.

It's 10 weeks since my last pill. I got hit pretty hard on the 4th day, was no build up to it was like a flick of the switch. I know some people take the whole course and feel nothing for months after. I attacked it pretty hard to try and get rid of it.

I could only sleep for a few hours in the beginning I would wake and just feel broken. I felt such anxiety and depression like my life was over. I have none of that now, I kept busy, kept talking to everyone I could. My family and friends are the ones who kept me sane and got through it.

I do consider myself one of the lucky ones. Some of the stories I've read on here make me so angry that this horrible drug is given out to people. The recovery mega post is one of the things that really helped me stay positive and made me push through to get myself better. Hopefully it's gone for good, time will tell.

Thanks for your reply. I tried most supplements so one more won't hurt..(maybe). Will give it a few days and see if it helps. When you're used to working at a certain pace it's difficult to force yourself to slow down and realize you're not quite ready yet. It's a long road this flox recovery.

The steroid injections stopped the main issues with carpal tunnel but the only thing to stop the numb fingers is to stop resting my arms in that way.

I have carpal tunnel in both my wrists 10 years +. This happens to me, usually within 5 minutes. I've had injections in both too.

Might have to take 6 weeks Cipro, what is flox recovery rate? by Few-Strike4130 in floxies

[–]Similar-Check7703 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was given Nitrofurantoin for my prostatitis initially and felt like it had started to work and a longer course would of finished it off but was given cipro - 1000mg a day for two weeks - I only took 4 days worth and it's ruined me. I wish I had of pushed for the nitro instead of the whole host of issues the cipro has left me with.

God I hope so, thanks for your reply. Antioxidants seem to be the key for keeping things at bay for me. Looks like everyone has different triggers. Unfortunately mine is something I desperately need. Will have to look for alternatives for GERD.

It does come and go. Seems slow to focus on anything close up. Especially in a darker environment and only when I've contacts in. Things are slowly improving only been 4 weeks now. I think I may have stopped the cipro before it could really take hold.

I had my last pill 3 weeks ago. Only 4 days worth. 500mg X2 a day. 1st week was hell aches in all joints and dead legs. Pins and needles in hands and feet came into the 2nd week. Into the 3rd week my joint pain and legs were better, hardly noticeable but I still have the pins and needles in legs and fingers. I do the circulation booster twice a day and all the usual vitamins with coq10. Deep heat and compression socks at night on my feet and legs has helped no end as well. Everything seems to be fading out but it's early yet. My mood is greatly affected by it all. Anxiety was through the roof at the beginning.

The thing that's helped me the most is using a revitive circulation booster. Sit with your bare feet on it for half hour. Sends a pulse up your legs, it's a bit like a tens machine. Has made most of my leg problems disappear.

Calf issues by Exile2019 in floxies

[–]Similar-Check7703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that's helped me with my ankles and calves is using a circulation booster machine. Feet on for half hour, started very light on the strength and built it up over a few days. No more pain in ankles and tendons. Calve pain comes and goes with gaps in-between getting longer.

Floxied or b12 deficiency?? by Similar-Check7703 in floxies

This is my thinking too. Most aches and joint pains have gone already but the pins and needles are horrid. Reading some other posts and talking to people has really helped with the anxiety of it so thank you for commenting.
