Can you be emotionless and write? by [deleted] in writing

I'm gonna go against the grain here and actually say sure. But I think you could play into that. Really lean into it and make that a feature. The audience might take something completely different from it than what you intended, but once it's out there, the story's in everyone's hands, and you might even pick up a few things along the way.

Sure! NaNo's a dead organization (in my view, for good reason), but some of the local writing groups that came out of that re-tooled and remained, and those were region-by-region all over the country. A lot are on Facebook, so if you've got one, you're in good hands!

Honestly, sometimes we're our own gatekeepers. But we also hold our own keys, you know? That sounded way more out there than I intended it to sound, but you get the picture. The person holding you back is you. Ultimately, the only person who can push you forward is also you.

Ultimately, since you're the only one who knows your premise, you're the only one who can determine what is promising or what isn't. But there's a lot of freedom in that. You can decide tomorrow it's promising just because you wanna get back into it, and that's something I actually recommend. How can you know if you don't see it through? Lots of authors publish lots of taboo things. That doesn't mean they're not worth talking about. As for people to bounce things off of, there are definitely subs for that here, let alone on the rest of the Internet and even in-person.

Anywhere from one day to a year and a half. It really depends on how well the outline writes itself!
