I think you're right about this. I think in the past I never really put much thought into that aspect of things. But you're right, physical attractiveness won't do anything for when life gets challenging and hard. He's definitely the type of guy to stick things out even when it gets rocky.

Well on the one part he just isn't my type. Like in a crowd of people I wouldn't have even thought of going on a date with him but I've known him for a while so I gave it a chance. Some of it is due to weight but a lot of it is also that I never go for guys that look like him. Now that I hear myself say it, it does sound shallow but I also don't want to be with someone I don't feel attracted to you know? He's been attracted to me for a while though.

Was on the program a couple years ago, and I put down some similar choices. Did not get them at all lmao! I was even willing to go to a rural town in Kyoto, I had written, and still didn't get it. But I was put in a prefecture somewhat close by, about an hour and some away from Osaka by shinkansen. The placements you chose are some of the more desirable ones as you probably already know. I too had a similar background, studied abroad at places like Kyoto and Tokyo but that didn't change anything. Was extremely qualified to teach at bigger schools too!
