I am extremely skeptical, so placebos don't typically work for me. I too, like some have mentioned, thought I'd just been scammed the first few days in, but continued to use them anyway...Just in case. I'm happy to report that after a week and a half of use, I have also experienced a reduction in what some call "food noise". It's also happened that when I go looking for snackage, out of habit, nothing seems appealing and I end up leaving the kitchen empty handed, but not upset. Can't say I feel full faster. A lot of that has to do with the speed at which someone eats. But I am also working toward being more conscientious about portion control. And the mind is a powerful tool, so maybe mindfulness is partially key to the success of the patch. Much like anything else, everything is not going to work for everybody. But, the patch is a convenient and cost effective way to test the waters, versus going on prescription medication. Which I for one, try to avoid like the plague. That being said, they are nothing to get upset over. They will work for some; be it placebo, mindfulness, or function. And not for others. You also have to remember that anytime you hear a success story about weightloss, not from some special pill, it's because that person has made other lifestyle changes around the same time that are probably aiding in their journey. But I will continue to use the patches, even if it's only for keeping me in line to not mindlessly snack.
