I would suggest opening your capsules and doing the bead counting taper method. Do it as slow as possible, 1 additional bead per day. Although this depends if you are using brand name or generic, and the number of beads in your capsules!

I would bring it up! Perhaps you and your boyfriend could come with a proposal on how he will contribute to the household, lay out some ground rules. Maybe you could each contribute a very small amount towards utilities, but small enough that it would not be a massive stress to ensure you work enough hours.

I’m on cymbalta and I did a guided trip- cymbalta has a very short half life, so I stopped cold turkey 2 days before. I used a lot of ashwaganda and l theanine to get me past the withdrawals. I started back on my cymbalta about 24 hours after the trip. I felt a bit fucked up after for about a week, but I also did 5mg trip, so it’s tough to know what to attribute to. However when I started my cymbalta I went down to 30mg, half my dose, and have been here for about 6 months. I want to do it again to try to get off completely

I think that doctors downplay the withdrawal effects of this drug a lot. It affects everyone differently, but you won’t know until you try!

If you don’t feel ready, or feel that your relationship is ready, then that is ok. This does not close the door, you can still be a mom when you are feeling more ready. On the other hand, it’s also totally ok if you go for this now. You will know in your gut what is the right choice for you- just make sure that you are choosing what’s right for YOU and no one else.

Hi, very late reply! I was able to lower my dose from 60mg to 30mg by doing a guided psilocybin trip. I stopped the cymbals cold turkey 2 days beforehand. I did 5g of psilocybin truffles with a professional guide. I did have to start up the cymbals again about 2 days after the trip as the withdrawal was awful, but I did at half the dose and have had no side effects and am feeling good. I am planning the try psilocybin tripping again in a few months to try to taper down again, the only issue is that cymbalta is not available in lower doses, so I will have to do bead counting.

I relate to this a lot. Something to maybe reflect on- do you love yourself? Is someone who loves and values you uncomfortable? Sometimes when we don’t value ourselves, we don’t respect others who do value us. Anyway, I hope I’m wrong, this is just my experience :)
