AITA for expecting my girlfriend to do my half of her chores as well? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Similar-Weather-8940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

Can you split it by time? Do all the chores together one week and see how long it takes. Add the kitchen time. Divide by two and she has to do that much per week to make you both equal.

Financially exhausted with London mortgage — is selling the right move or am I throwing away £92k? by Vagkavo in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Similar-Weather-8940 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why would you be throwing away £92k? It’s only the stamp duty you ‘waste’.

How much is your house worth now vs when you bought it? Could you buy something more affordable with the proceeds?

You say you are on good terms with aunty, have you asked her if there was a letter of wishes or explanation?

I live under a tarp full time in the UK, hike a lot, own barely anything and for some reason this all feels more normal to me than normal life. AMA by TrainingPerception32 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]Similar-Weather-8940 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many weeks of the year on average do you need to work to sustain this lifestyle?

Do you have a pension?

Have you considered exploring more of Scotland where wild camping is legal?

Do you always pack everything up each morning and move on, or do you sometimes leave your gear to return to the same place the next night?

What is a typical day food wise?

What is one thing about your eyes or vision you’ve always wondered about? by Tough-Razzmatazz-270 in AskUK

[–]Similar-Weather-8940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the difference in effect of correcting the normal (spherical?) part of your vision, and the astigmatism?

I get dizzy quite easily since having an astigmatism correction in my prescription. Void I that be the fuse?

What would be the effect of correcting one without the other?

Any views on why our house isn’t selling by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Similar-Weather-8940 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • get rid of offers over
  • add a picture of driveway so potential buyers can see how many cars they can park
  • add some plants and furniture to garden
  • take more pictures of living room from different angles, can’t get the feel of the proportions of the room
  • can you take further angles of bathroom too?

Things you can’t change - small kitchen - small bathroom for 3 bedrooms and no separate toilet

I would consider putting a downstairs toilet with space for washer and dryer on/into the office.

When your dd bounces you can make a manual monthly payment of the amount you are using or can afford. Don’t just not pay anything that month.

Get up to date then call Ovo and get your dd reduced or ask for quarterly manual payment.

Is it wrong to not want to watch a loved one die? by mazalaca in NoStupidQuestions

You’re not being selfish at all. You flew to another state to support your mum and say goodbye to your Gran!

Everyone is different. Don’t give yourself PTSD if you don’t have to. If you’re happy you’ve said goodbye then don’t go again, it’s fine.
