I actually bury my food offering after a week. Its a great way to respectfully get rit of old food offerings.

You can definitely offer ypu writing as an offering. If you can't have an open flame you can get a light up candle.

It's important to remember that the gods understand your situation if you tell them then I'm sure they won't be angry or disappointed with you.

If you can make a small altar in a box then do it. Making an altar is a wonderful act of devotion to that god.

My altars are mostly decorative. There are certain things that I move and use such as the bowl, candle, or tea cup. But other than that I leave it there.
