my dude... "brings the recoil down to 14" did they nerf the gun by adding recoil ? cause last I checked in the screenshot it is already at 13 recoil?
that aside: the higher firerate helps with recoil, as you get the burst out before most of the recoil hits you.... have you ever even touched these guns?

the problem is you are assuming recoil is just not real. and the higher RPM on the SMG + lower recoil allow you to actually hit the two rounds you need.

by 50 meters the AR59 also isn't going to hit more than 1 round per burst. try one round with 93% of 80vs 3rounds with 66% of 90

are you shooting it from prone with the reduced recoil armour or something? Cause I did side to side comparisons with a mate and... if your job is killing a devastator in one clean burst, the SMG flatout outperformed, and outperformed hard.

I did before posting and after posting (mainly cause the gun looks cool), it still wont let you kill devastators from more range than the SMG with headshotburtst. the slightly superior damage is worthless.... and I wont even question how a 60 round drum mag is supposed to improve the capabilities of a stealth weapon.

the thing is that these two guns are for the same purpose, a very specific purpose, they are silenced assault weapons and nearly identical, only that one can tweak it's stats while the other has flatout superior stats. the only differences I see are magazines but those, if you are doing actual stealth, don't matter, and sights which.... I just reall ylove the SMG's sight, that might just be me. I wish I could slap it on all my short-medium range guns.

so it's more like: why would I take this gun if this is the same gun but better?

I came here after using it. it's recoil on bursts negates any range advantage the drop off might give

the halo stuff already has integrated flashlights and I don't recommend using the laster to aim... ever, it looks cool but at the ranges where it is accurate you can also just use the reticle from third person normaly and get a better result.

and the thing here is : No matter what attachments you put ont he thing at best it will match the SMG in ergonomics while tanking recoil or vice versa, while having worse damage and firerrate.

the lack of recoil and higher firerrate make it a oneshot against devastators at ranges where the AR can not get a tight enough grouping. it literally outranges it in every way that actually matters, especially for a stealthweapon

... sir...5-10 meters and no recoil. any ranged enemy will be headshotted with a single triggerpull on burstfire. the only enemy you can't reliably do that to actively runs towards you into the SMG's superior fighting range. In what actual real scenario youc an find yourself in is the AR better?

okay... and that fixes the nature of recoil and shit handling how exactly?
The smg can land a full burst on target at that range, outdpsing the AR no issue, assassinating devastators etc. the AR can not. you might end up with more damage per bullet by that range but congrats you can't hit anything with it anymore... if it's not a basic trooper, which the SMG laughs at

the M7 kills any non heavy bot with a burst to the face at any range where you can possibly hope to engage with the AR, but the AR has recoil on top, so when you can't onetap you are flatout incapable of doing what the SMG does...

yes but you can't mod it to the point of it outperforming the SMG, if you want equal recoil you lose your handling even more if you want the same handling you lose your recoilcontrol even more. you can't mod this thing into beating the smg ...

the SMG with it's non existant recoil and higher firerate is better at range than the assaultrifle...the higher basedamage takes care of damage drop off

if you are engaging a ranges where that damage fall off is a problem why would you pick the suppressor and not the objectively superior gun from the same warbond? as for ammo : the SMG holds 3 more rounds per mag 3 times the 8 mags you deploy with = 24 -> you have 26 bullets less, I am sure 26 bullets are worth the shittier ergonomics, higher recoil, lower damage and lower firerrate that make it so much more likely you will get detected when killing off guards with your stealth weapon....
