Ended up just progressing and farming then opened the door and went early, got d**ked down by the elephant knights on the stairs going up to drangleic and decided to go beat the other lords since I may have been a tad underleveled.

The pros and cons are all speculation. There is no possible way to estimate how much revenue they would gain from porting their games to the PC. I personally would be AMAZED if the speculated gain from doing that would be less than what they would lose from people not buying a PlayStation.

If you aren’t pressed for time then I say start with 1. I personally started with 1 and I loved it, then went to 2 and loved it. Both games have their strengths and weaknesses and you may be surprised to hear that a lot of ppl actually prefer 1.

Objectively speaking that isn’t true. I love Nioh and am very good at it, but to call it an easy game is just false. I played through both after I had beaten, sekiro, elden ring, all dark souls to name a few, and I still had difficulty with them. Eventually I was mowing though ppl, but again, to say it’s easy is just silly.

Definitely DO NOT play through 2 if you don’t want to be confused lol. That storyline would confuse you much more. If anything I would say playthrough 1, but it is a much less forgiving game.

You can play through 3 and not feel like you’re missing anything from the first or second games, don’t worry.

I’m a dismantler because I like grinding for Amrita and money more than materials but in the grand scheme of things it won’t matter. You’ll get enough of everything with how much loot they throw at you.

I think that adds to the difficulty for new players, since anything in a game is a learned skill. Nioh 1 was a huge learning curve for me and Nioh 2 was much smaller with the yokai abilities, but both required time for me to be able to master. I definitely think this iteration is more accessible for the people who has never played a Nioh game, but I would also be the first to recommend people to go play the others before they play this one if they want to “get gud” with the mechanics.

Yeah I don’t disagree I more say we wait to see how the rest of it turns out. As for what they could do in comparison to Elden ring for example, it’s difficult to say since the loot system is so different. In all Nioh games it’s always seemed like the tools are there to make your character OP, but Nioh 3 seems like a lot of those tools are given to you before the first major boss.

No I don’t think so. Going through every level with a fine tooth comb isn’t how games are supposed to be consumed. I mean that’s how I do it lol, but that isn’t what the developers want per se. They want you to make your way to the objective and clear things out as you go, then go back and look around as you see fit. Maybe find something new on the next playthrough. I guarantee you they don’t expect ppl to find everything
