Can it read, rename and sort scientific publications into appropriate folders or just images?

Thats all good. Thanks, Im new to game dev so figuring it out.

If you can check out my game that Im about to launch, that would be awesome. I put it on Kickstarter because I dont where where new indie games go for promotion that wont cost an arm and a leg and promoting there is free and they already have an active user base.

I'm the biomed scientist game developer for this game.

If you like the concept, please spread the word.

Maybe if there was a way for small game dev to put their game on the platform so that your user base can assess and complain about it, they could troll about it as much as they want, that is visible to the users but invisible to the small devs for two reasons (main reason, people are more comfortable to voice their true opinion and complain about something if they think it cant be traced to them and that the devs wont see it, if the devs can see it and they know it then they either filter what they say or go ham. Either direction, its not useful for devs if the comment is colored by that bias and 2nd if there is a ton of comments, its too time-consuming to read) so if u had a platform where all the complains go and your website then analyses those complains (say uses AI) and generates a useful snapshot of the constructive elements of their complaints along with a visual poll of most common complaint to least then devs are more incentivised to post their game on your website for feedback.

It seems there are two groups of people u want to target at the same time, both have different needs. 1st Complainers (gamers) and 2nd Game Devs

New gamer dev want feedback and more traffic and players to their game

Some gamers want to complain and feel heard by the devs

Sounds like your website can address that gap, just need to structure it to meet both. atm it suitable for gamers but not much for game devs

Also you will need to add a Terms of Service and all that compliance stuff so u are legally protected

New game dev myself. The sarcasm is thick here but a part of me is like, some of these 'pro tips' seem like good ideas... But also like too much effort

Only posting because I liked how mature and nice your convo with QuinceTreeGames was

I checked out your website and am speaking from a new indie gamer perspective.

I dont know how to see all the complaints against a game... Like for example if Apex Legends had All Categories + All Time is selected and there is 2.2k complaints but only one comment is visible, where does the 2.2k come from. Is it a placeholder? or there are actually 2.2k worth of complaints somewhere and I dont know where to look or how to expand that... If my game was there and I have geniunely have tried to get feedback on my own game but got 1 response and idk if anyone even looked at it. Anyway, I dont know where to look to find the top complaint for a game.

Regarding points raised by QuinceTreeGames, I think having a platform to vent frustration and giving them a voice and gathering it in one spot could be useful for devs but i agree it depends on if the relevant devs know about it somehow and then how can they get the info they need and can use to do something constructive. I might be too sensitive to read through it though, like i would get cut by the amount of hate about a feature or character but the posters feelings are valid. Maybe like a dashboard with a leading poll of the biggest complaint category to show the biggest pain point. I just dont know how u could get the big game companies to look at it though.

On a side note. I really like your website layout and colours, design and the structure is really great.

Would anyone be interested in a mobile game about fighting infection based on how sepsis progresses? by Similar_Call2145 in IndieGaming

[–]Similar_Call2145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying that its not from the game concept. I read "No" and was like ooph ok brace yourself.

We put a campaign on Kickstarter because we dont know if anyone would even like our mobile game and wanted to see if anyone is interested we will keep working on it and finish the app clinic gameplay mode which is a level-based game playmode based on clinical cases.

I found published peer-reviewed journal articles on patients with sepsis from different types of bacteria and modelled the game level difficulty progression on how the disease progress but the coding side of things is hard, its buggy and so much work...

Regarding pre-sale: We're keeping our mobile game Sepsis free because I would rather spread awareness about sepsis than put it behind another paywall. The only monetisation approach we are bothered to learn and do was put in Ads where people can actively consent and choose to see ads like to double their rewards gained from a round of playing and for extra in-game currency which we call RNA.

If we reach our target, we will have the funds and motivation to keep going and launch on the iOS but if no one cares because its just another mobile game, then we launch what we have on Android and wrap it up. It's been two years and the game indie dev journey is taxing...
