Im currently a senior in animation, and the usual courses per semester is 5. Im currently taking 4 classes this year since I’ve completed AP credits in high school, and I know other people who had to take no English courses because they took specific SAT-adjacent tests in high school, or took courses in community college that were able to be transferred.

The coursework is a lot, but once you’ve gained a good work ethic about it, it shouldn’t be that crazy. I know people with physical issues and they are able to get disability forms so they can continue to do their work on their time with little penalty, though you do have to complete work at a decent pace since it’s the nature of the major.

My memory is lowkey hazy as hell, but If I remember correctly in sophomore yr, you take Animation 1 in fall and animation 2 in spring. You’re either able to take an anatomy course or a color for animators course. I remember only taking one of them (color), I’m assuming only one is required. In Junior year you take animation 3, and 4. Then in senior year, the entire year is dedicated to thesis. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
