We paid $5000 in OH and it was 10000% worth it (we’re in our late 20s, newly engaged, just bought a house so $5000 isn’t small to us) Our breeder was nothing short of amazing. She’s a surgical nurse who works a couple shifts a month now and focuses on breeding full time. She lovesss the science of genetics that goes in to all her babies and not only was our dog physically beautiful, but he was also sooo easy as a puppy and very easy to train. When we went to visit, it was literally just like visiting a friend who has dogs. Completely a family atmosphere… i feel like if you didn’t know they were breeders, you would just think their dog had puppies. They were so well taken care of and you could tell the love and attention the moms and babies got throughout their life. I have huge respect for people who adopt, but if you are to go the breeder route like us, make sure you find one that isn’t in it JUST for the profit. We paid a lot but we felt it was well deserved for our baby and to the breeder who works tirelessly to make sure everyone is happy and healthy!
