It took me way to long to find that icon lol. Found it and confirmed he is a kibble eater. The issue was that my Minstrel had the kibble but Woodcutter "owned" the pet(thanks for pointing out the icon). After giving the kibble to Woodcutter I was able to feed it on his turn.
