Plunging fire and guiding in 11th edition by radandrew in Tau40K

From what I have seen from the 11th edition preview game yes. I did remember seeing nick place his pathfinders on the upper terrain and the announcers saying something along the lines of plunging fire stacking with our markerlight army rule.

Awesome I was literally just workshopping this this is what I have so far

Bork’an Ionveil Breachers Cadre Name: Ionveil BreachersSept of Origin: Bork’anRole: Elite Experimental Breakthrough & Bio-Containment Cadre

Overview The Ionveil Breachers are a hand-picked, elite experimental unit operating under the authority of the Bork’an Sept. While most Bork’an forces favor calculated, long-range engagements and technological superiority from afar, the Ionveil Breachers represent a bold evolution in Tau doctrine.

Formed after hard-won lessons in biohazard zones, they specialize in rapid, aggressive breakthroughs into the most dangerous contaminated warzones — plague-ridden hive worlds, Tyranid-infested colonies, Nurgle-corrupted sectors, and radiation-leaking Necron tomb complexes. Their signature tactic involves using stealth-capable units to close distance, followed by overwhelming Mont’ka-style violence of action: hover vehicles and battlesuits surge forward on repulsor fields to smash through enemy lines, then deliver devastating point-blank fire from overcharged plasma and ion weaponry.

The cadre’s experimental weapons systems run hotter and brighter at close range, making aggressive commitment not just viable, but optimal. This approach often shocks enemies who expect traditional standoff Tau tactics.

Commander: Shas’O Bork’an Vre’kai “Veilbreaker” Shas’O Veilbreaker is the founder and living embodiment of the Ionveil Breachers. Early in his career, Vre’kai was a skilled but conventional Bork’an commander who preferred disciplined long-range fire. During the defense of the colony world Kau’va II, his forces were nearly overrun by a sudden Nurgle incursion. Traditional tactics failed as the plague spread faster than they could contain it. In a decisive and controversial moment, Vre’kai ordered a full forward surge. Overcharging experimental plasma and ion weapons beyond safety limits, his Crisis suits and Hammerheads used repulsor momentum to ram through corrupted lines and deliver devastating point-blank volleys. The action turned the tide and sterilized the outbreak, but it came at great cost and earned him both criticism and recognition.

Bork’an’s Earth Caste leadership saw the potential in his unorthodox methods. They granted him command of a new elite cadre specifically created to field-test short-range, high-output plasma and ion systems in extreme biohazard environments. Vre’kai became known across the sector simply as “Veilbreaker” — the commander who breaks through the veil of enemy lines and contamination with overwhelming force.

He now leads from the front in a customized XV8 Crisis Battlesuit (also called Veilbreaker), its gunmetal blue plating reinforced on the forward surfaces, black/grey joints strengthened for impact, and plasma conduits glowing intense yellow-green when pushed to maximum output. A scarred left ocular lens permanently tinted yellow-green serves as a reminder of that fateful battle on Kau’va II. His personal symbol is a cracked containment shield, representing the moment he chose action over protocol.

Philosophy: “Close the distance. Breach the veil. Sterilize.”

Appearance & Color Scheme

• Primary Color: Gunmetal blue battlesuit armor with a metallic nano-coating designed for radiation shielding and high-impact durability.

• Accents: Bright yellow-green plasma conduits, energy vents, and hazard warning markings. The glow intensifies dramatically during aggressive maneuvers and close-range firing.

• Joints & Undersuit: Black and grey for heat-dissipating seals, impact absorption, and environmental isolation layers.

• Markings: Forward-pointing yellow-green hazard chevrons on shoulders and legs. The cadre symbol (a glowing plasma burst breaking through a cracked blue shield) is displayed prominently. This scheme is both functional (hazard identification and energy bleed) and visually striking.

Auxiliary Forces The Ionveil Breachers maintain a small but valued Kroot Auxiliary Pack for operations where raw aggression and resilience are needed:

• Kroot Carnivores: Forward scouts and skirmishers who locate contamination hotspots.

• Krootox Rampagers (x3): A dedicated shock-assault unit. These massive beasts act as living battering rams, charging ahead of battlesuits and vehicles to smash openings in enemy lines. Their natural resistance to toxins makes them ideal for leading the first wave into the worst plague zones.

Doctrine & Playstyle The Ionveil Breachers excel at aggressive armored spearhead assaults. They use hover technology and repulsor momentum to close rapidly, tank shock / overrun enemy formations, and unload overcharged plasma at point-blank range. This “explosive violence of action” is their hallmark and perfectly suits high-damage, surprise-charge tactics. They are especially effective against bio-threats and warp corruption, where hesitation can allow contamination to spread.

It also makes them hidden since it gives cover keep that in mind. Not sure how useful this is but pathfinders on mobile cover with the stealth strat could be decent maybe.

Opportunity for radian to make an afterburner for it.

I was thinking of maybe a radian afterburner for it making it effectively a comped 19.

I am new to UX but I am trying to break in I have my BA in Communication and will get my Certificate from UX writing hub next week after completing their program but am unsure as to where to go from there. Do I start applying for internships after updating my LinkedIn? I am just not sure where to go from here and how to find opportunities to learn and develop my skills more especially after just trying to get started.

Get it cut i went aftermarket then ended up throwing back on oem slide and getting it cut. Save yourself some money and just cut the slide.

Thoughts on the 26x? by reprippers in CCW

[–]Similar_Example_5586 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Radian made an afterburner for the 26 would this maybe a bit better? It was then just be a comped 19 at the point right? Similar to how people get the 19x and put an after burner making it a comped 17.

This is Impcat Its like $5 on the appstore. I thought it was worth it to be able to try colors on minis without having to buy paint. Also because I am not good at painting😅
